Sound board not important, but will take it if offered. I have now aquired 3 sets of "untested" aka BROKEN boards off of Ebay...

Will pay 100.00 for a complete/ tested boardset.
Ok... Raising price to 150.00
Immediate payment.....

yeah I was given the unencrypted ROM set which then uses a regular Z80 chip instead of the big metal block thing, it fixed some of my problems, I too have 3 board sets all with issues, and dearly love a fully working board set for mine, most issues are small graphic glitches, and friend said will look at them, but is backlogged on other pcbs at present

if you need the ROM files, just lmk

All 3 sets have already been converted...
I probably have a full working board between the three I can piece together...
Problem is I don't have the equipment or skill to check eproms, or the time to swap chips/ review/ swap chips again- ya know- trial and error method.
I'd rather just buy a known working.
Now ebay has one for 300.00 right now- but that's ridunculous considering you can get a fully working complete cabinet for that price.
Mybe I'll hit up the seller and make an offer?

Completely sucks that the boardsets haven't panned out for you. I sure could use a known good sound board for mine (or somebody to take Turbo off my hands so I have one less project!). I seriously think between the half dozen or so of us with these we'd have 3 or 4 really nice complete games! Just not willing to part mine out...

I went through a similar situation a few years back with Turbo board sets. I found alot of the issues to be the ribbon cables between the board sets. If your game is working and has some simple grafic issues like lines in the trees etc. try swapping the ribbon cable locations. They may get a better connection in a different socket. Or maybe just taking them on and off a few times will clean the contacts a little. If you are having more issues than that this probrably will not help. I did the same thing as you I bought a box of boards 3 sets total and I was able to get 2 working 100% just by moving cable around.

fired mine up yesterday as moved some machines around and now the damn thing has more issues, all the trees, buildings are just garbled mess!?!?!?!? GRRRRR
