WOZ Full Whitewood Revealed

You should sign up for updates, he emails you a newsletter with all this stuff. While not a stellar theme for me, I think this game is going to be fun. Wish I had the $7k to spend!

I'll reserve total judgement if I ever get to play one, but...what the heck.

Is it me, or does it look like the crossover wireforms actually meet, and looks like the back left section is going uphill?

It looks like they meet to me. I wonder if the ball goes fast enough that it doesn't matter?

Anyways, it looks good to me, and I'm assuming that they will still drill holes on the play field for lights and such? 7K is sooo much money though...Damn...

One goes under the other. It is hard to see from that picture, but if you study it long enough you can see the right wireform goes under the left.

Also the game isn't going "uphill" it is how the picture was taken.

yeah, go to http://pinballhead.com/full-whitewood-release-of-wizard-of-oz-pinball/ and look at the 2nd picture - at least to me that makes it more clear that the habitrail coming from the upper right goes underneath the other one.

it's too bad they didn't stick to the theme of rainbow colors with the round standups. the one between blue and violet should be indigo instead of white. (i'm just mad that i can't afford one, and have to find *some* nit to pick!)

ETA: there are more pics at: http://myemail.constantcontact.com/...nball.html?soid=1104524641178&aid=8phw8JfmnZc

This is a whitewood...a prototype, mockup, rough-cut, etc. Nothing you see there is set in stone. I bet those targets will be legit rainbow colors in the full version....plus lots of other differences, tons of inserts all over the place, etc.

Funny, I thought the same thing. I have a feeling like Greg said, they probably didn't have an indigo colored stand up so they stuck in what was available.

I see they're still holding on to the ruby slipper flippers. Atrocious. They need to go.

I agree, totally. But as spanks_4 stated, Jack said that there would be different flippers included for anyone whose manhood was challenged by the ruby slipper flippers. :)

In general I think it looks fine, a good start.

Put me on the flipper hater bandwagon. It isn't a manhood thing, they just look like crap.

Is it just me, or does the witch look really tall?

It looks like 80%+ of what you are shooting at is the round targets.

Targets in the out lane, interesting.

No targets in the Munchkin Land PF?

I still can't quite tell if the ball goes up the center ramp and exits at the right, green flipper. Maybe the ramp exits to Munchkin Land PF, and Munchkin Land PF exits to the flipper.

Manhood or not, I agree and I'll probably change them out.

If you zoom in on the photo, you'll see that the witch was shopped in. So it may look taller than it really is.

That is a concern/criticism that has been raised. However, with Keith programming the rules, he'll probably make good use of them.

Not from what we've seen so far. The point there appears to be to spin the house by looping the ball.

It looks like there will be a gate that will send the ball to the Munchkin playfield, or to the wireform that returns to the left flipper. The Munchkin playfield exits above the magnet and the upper right flipper.

i think its cool that jjp is sharing updates with the pinball community. i dont think any other manufacturer has done this,

Looks like it's really coming along. Should be great fun by Christmas 2013. JK. How long does it generally take for a pin to go from whitewood like this to released?

Wow, it is confirmed as a widebody. I guess that shouldn't be too surprising, but I wasn't expecting that. I thought the widebody days were long gone.

I figured it for a widebody a long time ago. Lots of targets to hit yes, but the inserts and other stuff isn't in yet. I'm personally enjoying the updates in progress and waiting to see the final product before I cast my final judgement. Personally everything I've read/heard this is going to be an amazing pin, but of course some people will hate on it strictly on theme.

It reminds me of Taxi, with the criss-cross wire ramps.

I really was ho-hum about this game until I saw the actual whitewood - that looks AMAZING!!
