Wow what an arcade.

Wow! That place is incredible. So that was shot going up from downstairs. That looks like a lot of weight. I have an upstairs that has 44 games all against the walls. I will eventually bring up 8 more then there is only the centers of rooms left. I could probably fit 16 to 20 additional doing that. I really would like to know more about this place because I feel a bit more confident after seeing all of those games up a stairwell.

Looks like they all work and are in great condition which is very impressive.

This belongs to a VAPS member but I don't remember his id? Ive been there a few times, he only lived about 4 miles from me before I moved. That upstairs floor was designed and built to hold the extra weight of all those games and people. It's definitely not your average construction!
It's also old, He does have a Star Wars too and his games have change some over the years.

You were not joking steve, that is one sweet arcade collection!

Nice selection of games, but Todd needs to get a major havoc.

Todd has a Major Havoc, it just wasn't upstairs at that time. It is now... It is a Tempest conversion, but with roller. Things have changed a lot since that video. It is a constant evolution.

We actually constructed the building with plans of having all those games upstairs. The trusses were engineered to support the weight. There is an office and shop on the bottom floor, and the shop is open with a 25' span, which is a big span with all that weight. The building also has a dedicated 400 amp service for power. The top floor probably has about 25,000 pounds of games up there, and we have had as many as probably 50 people up there at once too. This doesn't even take into account the weight of the structure. People are actually something you have to plan for as well, since they are not only additional weight, but weight that shifts and increases with motion. I actually learned a lot when we were building this.

So, don't use this as a guide for how many games can safely be put upstairs.
