I just went to unplug the neckboard on this 19" K7000 (K7901) from my Super Hang On and Hissssssssss.

What tube can I use with the chassis?

pretty sure you can use any tv tube with the same yoke resistance, or you can transfer over the yoke from that broken tube there.

depends on the neck size or number of pins, then it's a matter of yoke.

if it a k7000 small neck grab a daewoo, emerson, sylvania, durabrand, symphonic tv. 2000 and newer, the tubes are great for direct drop in. to measure the yoke put your meter on ohm and test the green and yellow then the red and blue, that will tell you if your close. also you might have to splice in a new yoke connector.

Thanks, I am headed to Richie Rich's Place to weed though his old TVs. Hope he doesn't mind me opening them up. :D

Note for myself when I get there:
The monitor bolts are 17" hoizonal by 13.5" vertical.

I've never heard of this happening, either you've pulled it off very hard or the neck already had a hairline crack in it.

Of the 5 19" tvs Richie Rich had only one had 8 pins and the impedance was 14 ohms. Is 1.3 ohms difference a big deal?

Should I get it?

1.3 is pretty damn close if you ask me but i'm no tv tube swap guru like some of these other guys. you can always swap yokes.

Yeah that will work no problem. Since it's on the vertical, you have tons of room to adjust the vertical width. If the resistance is off, it'll squish your picture more (or allow it more deflection). Sometimes you get pincushion issues too but as long as it's not really major it's not too big of a deal.
