I'll bet -- for an extra fee -- they'll install an "expansion pack" that adds more games.

That paint job looks pretty decent though. Could have been with gold foil for 5k though.

"Over 100 hours of work and $2000 in parts. Computer alone is worth about $1000 and can play any game out right now."

$2000 in parts? Computer worth $1000? Uh huh.

Unless an included lingerie supermodel pops her head out of the coin door and services you while you're playing, $5000 is beyond a ridiculous price.

Is just like classic arcade machine presentation, if you want a pic text 509-xxx-xxxx
Joe Montano

He should change the O to an A in his last name in the listing. He'd probably get a little more attention at least.

Yeah, its ugly. Yeah, he wants wayyyyyyy too much but there's nothing new about that. Its been going on for years. I've never sold a MAME but back about 8 or 9 years ago, I sold a few black painted pac cabinets with new artwork and 9-in-1 multiboards for $2k a whack and they sold. Not sure you could do the same even with 48 or 60-in-1 boards now.

$2000 in parts??? even if there is a thousand dollar computer in there, which i seriously doubt, how the fuck is that $2000 in parts??? also like someone else said, why only 20 games? its like the guy went online and downloaded each individual rom instead of getting a collection via torrent, if he's that ignorant it has to make you wonder how well the computer is configured...

maybe he bought the parts and got his selling price estimate from this guy:

thats cool, nothing wrong with getting top dollar for your work/property. my problem personally is with the lack of effort of these people trying to sell their bullshit for top dollar.

"This took much of my free time and money I had to do, will deliver but will add to cost to take to you.Works perfectly but you can see some home made qualitys to it when it comes to painting. "

nice sales pitch. this kind of effort does not deserve top dollar. shit, the guy claims $2000 in parts, a ridiculous assertion, and is asking $5k??? just because it took him over a hundred hours to do three or four hours of work does not make it worth an alleged three grand in profit.

the last one i posted at least he wasnt asking five grand for, but still, its a pile of parts and incomplete cabinet. looks like the guy bought a pile of shit he has no idea how to put together, realized he was in way over his head and is trying to make his money back, i wonder how he arrived at a price of $1411???

quote: "Similar systems online are over $4,200! Research it! "

yes, they do! but they are a complete system, not a shitty box with a pile of parts!

anyways, looking at the MAME you sold, it looks like a decent quality machine you or somebody put actual time and effort into, not a gutted cab with some housepaint brushed over it or a disassembled shit box... if you could convince someone your MAME cocktail was worth over two grand then good for you as long as you were honest about it.

I built mine with plans i found on the net. Solid Birch cab, real arcade monitor, tempered glass, ect....i had about 800 into each of them, and about 20 total man hours in each, so i didnt really make a killing, but i was able to build 2 machines, and cover the cost of both by selling 1.

A total newbie there, obvious that's his first mame and he has delusuions of grandure. You never get you labor in the price, peeps just don't see that. A really nice mame can get pricey, if it is done properly and with top quality components. Just looking at how ugly that cab is, I can only guess how awful the inside probably looks, lack of smoothed out front end, horrible wiring, etc. Lots moving parts in a good mame cab. He will never sell it...
