Well it started off as a trying day..... First I went to open my cap on my truck (that had 2 games in it) the lock stopped working and I had to break into it. Got the cap open and unloaded the games at my gameroom. Now for those of you who don't know my gameroom is on a second floor, so I attached an electric winch to the wall, and built a ramp over the steps to pull the games, making it super easy to get games up to my gameroom. Well I got the first game (Wizard Of Wor) up without a hitch. The second game (Sonic Cherry Bell Pinball) didn't make it up the stairs.... The cable got caught on the the rollers on the winch and while trying to get the cable loose it frayed the cable and it broke. The game wasn't too far up the ramp luckily. Rolled down the ramp and slammed into the double doors that were at the bottom of the steps. Didn't break the backglass or playfield glass. The bottom of the head is destroyed (its only particle board) and I think the only thing that saved the backglass are the 2 brackets that hold the sides to the bottom and the backdoor bracket. The impact did move the entire door frame out some but I can deal with that. The rest of the day was nice, I got a few games back up and running and rearranged the whole gameroom to fit more games.

ugh well at least you or someone else were not at the bottom pushing. got any pics of your setup winch/ramp? last monster we got up the stairs almost took out the person pushing at the bottom. I want a safer way and was thinking winch but just not sure how to make it work

Buddy that winch was screaming 'kill me- please, kill me' when I was there in the Summer! It looked like Kirstie Alley had been rope-climbing with it.

Was that WOW a CL score?

Yeah, the one at Pop's Tavern, I got it for $175.

The cable isn't the same cable, and the winch is better than it looks. I do have a version 2.0 coming up for it as I obviously need a new solution.

I will get you pictures and comments soon, within the next few days.

Any chance you could post pics of your winch setup?

I am thinking of doing the same for my basement arcade.

I will post in the next few days how I had it set up, along with comments on what was good and bad, and how version 2.0 is going to be setup as I have been wanting to make some changes.
