I'm not going to argue the shipping charges. Thats what I was quoted and that's what I agreed to pay. I did ask about the tape job. He's telling me that he taped up 4 minor crcks in the artwork (he did this after the pictures were taken) because he was afraid that UPS would fuck it up while they packed it. Just another opinion I guess that tape is the way to go with these, not sure why. I told him my concern was the longevity and his opinion is to triple thick right over it. I'm not going to argue it anymore. It's still a million times better than the old glass.
For a "practice run", I taped up several areas of my old backglass and have applied 3 light coats of triple thick. So far so good, it does seem to seal up the tape, I barely even notice it. So I guess it's safe to do the same with this one?
Also is my old one pretty much worthless?
