Would you sell your Tron LE for another pin?

Just curious for those that have a Tron LE. Personally I think the game is on par with SM and will go down as one of Stern's best pins. I don't think I would ever get rid of it.

As for now with Transformers & AC/DC on the horizon, would anyone consider selling their Tron LE to fund a new purchase of the prior mentioned pins?

No.

(Superfluous characters)

I'd think Transformers would tempt a lot of people, but I'm sure some will stay away due to the movie-based theme (as opposed to the cartoon).

i'm hoping to get a transformers LE in addition to my TRON LE....not sure if it's gonna work out yet, but again, i'm "hoping." :)

i pretty much agree with rare's take on this.....it's 2011.....the "new" transformers aren't THAT bad and with this pin we don't have to see Shia LeSuck. thank god. i can deal with the new transformers models.

and my 6-year-old son is into transformers BIG....so i'm hoping i can get it for him too. he watches the old cartoons (i haven't allowed him to watch the new movies yet.....some "adult" themes in there, IMO) and he has the "new" transformers on his wall in his room. he's OK with both....so am i.

and again..........at least it's just the robots from the new movies and not the actors.

That would be sweet to see the two side by side. Two of the most geek-friendly pin themes we've seen in about a decade (certainly with the widest appeal).

So here is one for you:

Who has a Tron LE...
And has ordered a Transformers LE...
AND has paid in full a JJP WOz (I know, many of us think the theme is homoerotic in this day and age, but it's a widebody from a new company and the design will probably be cool)?

As for purchasing a Transformers LE on my end... I'm thinking about it... but that would blow probably half the money I'm making on this trip to Saudi and I got a baby coming up to deal with. :/ Maybe best to stick to the two pins I got for now.

Dunno about you, but my deductible on insurance for me, wife, and 1 kid was 2600. That's really all I need to say on that. If this is your first one? Oh man, get ready for the financial ro-sham-bo! WHEE!!!! I'm still paying off deductibles and hospital bills from when my 20 month old was born. Effin' sweet.

Sounds like fun. Honestly I'm probably more inclined to stay single and let her get her own insurance. She lives out in CA right now and is low income, so the state would probably take care of him/her better than I could.

I do got about $25K saved though, so whatever the case may be I think I'll be alright. And this job should net another $8K before taxes by the time I'm done.

And for those thinking I'm cold hearted or something you're probably right. Bitch be crazy though... don't think I can handle her and not trying to take on a charity case. I'd be happy to take the child off her hands if the burden is too much, but I'm thinking this one just wants the child support from me anyways.

Time to shuffle all my possessions out of my name and into my brother's or something if he'll let me before the lawyers get ahold of me. :/

Should have rapped your tool instead of being the fool...

Now now... just because some of us have worthwhile contributions to make to the gene pool...

And it's wrapped. I fail to see how singing to my dick would prevent pregnancy.

Just sign out, close your eyes, and pretend it was a noice thread. Or a bad dream, I do that sometimes lol.

back on topic:

I love my Tron LE and I'm a big fan of the title, hell I've had a Tron arcade machine for years in my arcade, now I have a small replica of it on a pinball machine! :) How awesome is that? And the game just kicks ass, and I've owned some good pins to compare it against- Spiderman, Ironman, LOTR, just to name a few. The gameplay on Tron is exciting, fun, and keeps you coming back... so for now, it stays no matter what.

I am glad there is so much excitement about the Transformers pin, Stern is getting a lot of attention now since Tron was such a hit, it appears to have positively influenced future buyers with so many people willing to buy new Sterns without seeing them- It appears the trust is back. I know people that bought Avatar and The Rolling Stones pins that were so upset with how stripped the pins felt, that they said they'd never buy another Stern. Now you have people more than willing to drop $6K-7K without even playing the machine and going on just one obscure photo of a playfield.

And for a lot of pinball collectors, there's the question of will you sell another proven "A" list pin for an unproven title (as of yet). For the record, my Attack From Mars which is currently undergoing a restoration will absolutely NOT leave my collection for a Transformers either.

^^^ This +1.

I mean, sure, a Transformers pin will be sweet, but besides Star Wars, Star Trek, T2, Simpsons, and a handful of others, how many pins can you slam side-by-side with their classic video counterpart? And in the case of Tron you could also have an EDOT.

And revisiting that same question, how many of those video games are indeed classics that have stood the test of time? For me that narrows it down to Star Wars and Tron.

And, uh... come to think of it if anyone does plan to sell their Tron LE to get Transformers I could maybe help you out with that. ;)

Nope, not here. Tron LE is staying around for a LONGGGGG time.

I still need to put my playfield Tron arcade game mod into my game...

It's an easy question for me because I'm not a Transformers fan at all. Thought it was dumb years ago and my opinion has not changed about it.

Tron LE stays in my collection if I want a different pin I can just save up for it rather than getting rid of something that I whould regret down the road. Been there done that.
