I have this guy on CL offering me this supposedly perfectly working Double Dragon game for $250.When I saw the small pics on my iphone,I thought it wasn't a bad deal. But......

When I was able to view the pictures on a larger screen,I noticed the cab, while apparently in nice shape, looks like it maybe a converted Gyruss cab, which makes me a lot less interested in it.But...I wanted to get opinions on whether this is worth getting for $250.

Yeah, not the dedicated cab. Looks more like Gyruss or Stargate. I think the parts and arts would be worth it for sure.

Now wait for everyone else's inevitable "offer half" statements.....

Nope. neither. let me look....

Yeah,I was pretty disappointed.I used to have a dedicated DD,but had to part with it years ago.I wish I hadn't,as it was such a cool and versatile cab.

Really? I'd say that depends on said parts, a bootleg DD board ain't worth diddly, I bought mine for $16, let's say you could get $40 for one... That leaves ya with a marquee and a populated CP.
Now if it's a genuine board...

Not worth $250 as a "restore", but just keeping it...yeah I suppose.

I'm leaning toward monitor as well. Yeah at $250, its way too high to begin thinking about turning it back to whatever it was.

While DD was originally in the GTC-100 cab (Taito), it appears that this is another Taito cab. Perhaps it was originally done in this cab, perhaps it was installed as a kit.

Either way, DD is a Taito game and it's in a Taito cab. Doesn't look bad and it works, so if you really like DD, then I wouldn't say $250 is a deal-breaker....

Yeah,I was really leaning towards passing on it,but wanted some second opinions. Now I'm sure I'm passing on it.Now I'm just wondering what this cab was originally ....
