Would you pay 100$ for a Street Fighter 2 with bad monitor?

and as for the final fight for 250$? i played it allot on mame and like it so maybe ill get that, im still in new york for work and will be comming back home tuesday, and go get the street fighter thursday, illl send pics of it along with the other games he has

I used to play the shit out of FF bitd... I'd buy that too... but that's just me. At $250 it'd be the most expensive cab I'd ever bought tho...

I came here to discuss Street Fighter, but got totally distracted by Cliffo's avatar that I'm not sure what else to say.

100

you guys seriously overpay, non working st fighter 2, lol
i have purchased about 300 games like that for 10-20 ea tops
but then again im sure how much of a hobbiest i am more of a profiteer
yes salvage is over or around 100, but if someone offered you a rusty ol 65 mustang with some parts in it would you pay for the sum total of the salvagable parts ? i hope not.

I got a guy willing to sale me a Street Fighter 2 with bad monitor for 100$. Cab is in really good shape and he said horizontal picture went out, but plays blind. So I think 100$ is a great deal.

$100 is a good deal...blah, blah, blah.
If only I were closer...blah, blah, blah.
The PCB is worth $100...blah, blah, blah.
Even if you had to put $100 extra into it...blah, blah, blah.

Here's a fully working one that JoshBrown80 has been trying to sell for quite a while at $175 and he still has it available.

So, is a non-working one worth $100...NOPE!!

Kind of have to agree with this. Sure you could break it down into cost of parts and a cab, etc, etc, but at the end of the day we're talking a game that is found everywhere.

I just purchased one in a nice 19" dynamo that had no monitor for $50 (I only paid that much becuase the video converter was in it).

I just sold my Data East cab with SF2 Hyper in it for $250, and that thing was dialed in. Funny, the guy who bought it is trying to selling 2 weeks later now for $400. LOL.

Now there is another one located on my local CL for $175 that has some button issues.

There a dime a dozen. I'd say $50 is good. $100 seems high if you really really want that particular one.

yeah about 10hrs away, so with gas and ect it would be over 175$, and i could buy the 100$ and fix it for less than 75$, ill throw him a lower offer and see if he takes it

Yeah, you and me both. But yeah,I'd dish out $100 for it,but then again I love the SF series. But even if I hated SF2,it's not a bad deal at all.

How is your local CL? Does it not have very many SF2's pop up? Just seems like one can be had for a better price, all things considered. Do you have any pictures of the item by chance?

He's still better off buying local and fixing it himself. At $175 the one you recommend is nearly double the asking price and likely more than double what he'll end up getting it for. A monitor with Horizontal Collapse is not an expensive fix... short of sending it out for repair, you couldn't spend $75 to repair it unless you bought 3 kits...

No one said it was a screaming deal, but I personally don't feel it's a bad deal either. There's lots of good deals to be had, but a 10hr drive to pay double to buy a working game doesn't seem like one to me...

Arcade games in general dont hardly pop up, i dont have the pics on me currently, they were texted to me and i deleted all my messages, like i said ill try to talk him down, but deals really dont pop up around here

If it's a Dynamo cab in good shape I would pay $100 for it, fix it and sell it for profit. It puts a working game in someone's hands, some money for other games in mine and keeps a cab out of a landfill.
