Would you have pulled the trigger on this?

I would have taken it for $275. Looks nice enough, just needs a little monitor work.

On a side note, why is there a video of the NES version?

I don't know what prices are normally like in Texas but in the Pacific Northwest a nice Donkey Kong Junior like that would sell for $350 pretty easily. They normally go for $400-$500 up here, especially if it's a plywood cab. I got mine for $300 but it was a particle board cab and it was part of a four Nintendo game package deal for $1000. (Travel and pickup costs ran about $200.)

You're only 120 miles from Arlington so I assume you would have been picking this up yourself? I would have jumped on it, especially if it was at the top of my list.

Id say its 6in one half a dozen in the other type of deal. Would have needed work. Parts alone though could have been worth that. A friend just built a jr and spent close to $400 total!

I paid $285 for mine on ebay, plus a 6hr trip to kansas city to pick it up. It looks better than that one a little. You would have had an all original one though it look like.

I know KLOVers are cheap bastards, but offering $130 for a clean, nice looking DKjr that looks to only need a new instruction card and a monitor recap? Even with the minor laminate damage, that's too low of an offer. Sheesh....

I have one so I wouldn't have made an offer at all, but the going rate for one like that is easily $300-500. Anything less really would have been a bargain. $150-200 is a joke.

I wouldn't have pulled the trigger on it and DK JR is probably my favorite of the DK's. Shipping would have been the deal breaker and I would not have driven that far for a single cab.

Thank you everyone for your input! Well,I know it was very klovian of me to lowball that much but I figured I'd take a stab at it.

Anyway, the reasoning for not offering very much are:

1) Never was a huge DK Jr fan,so it's pretty low on the want list
2) Super Auctions is rolling into town on the 29th.
(Of course I can't go to it now since I have an engagement I must attend that day that I found out about just recently.)
3)I don't want to spend more than a few hundred bucks on a game that I don't absolutely love

Now had that been a Galaga,Contra,Street Fighter II,or Mario Bros there would have been no hesitation.

Pardon,
But wouldn't it have been an easy swap to make this a mario bros. Sorry, but that cab looks pristine at a glance. If you were going to be cheap, an offer of 200 might have been in line. Just sayin'

How about not even making an offer on a game you don't like?

For this reason!

And because I would get the game...but for the price I wanted to pay for it.

Either way,I don't regret offering that much.Had the dude accepted my offer, everyone on here would've been like...."Man,that's a steal of a deal, good job!" or "Holy crap I'm jealous,I should have offered that.",etc

It was a pretty good lowball :) - but I honestly don't think anyone here should be busting your balls about it like they haven't lowballed somebody before. That's clown shoe bullshit coming from this group.

I would have bought that game @ $275 - it's freaking gorgeous and you could have made it into anything Nintendo that you wanted. DKjr doesn't get the respect it deserves, it's a lot of fun and in that condition I would have just kept it as-is.
