Would new in box Scramble and Tutankhamen have any extra value?

Ooops.. spelled wrong Tutankham

Say over used ones?

I have come across 2 NIB Stern Scramble boards and 1 NIB Tutankham boards

The Scramble boards have new RF cages too

How much more than a used board do you guys think these are worth?

They are new.

In Time Pilot boxes, but wrapped tight and the Scrambles have new RF cages

No sign on the edge connector of ever being connected and the boards look like a new PC motherboard does.. no dust, no dirty metal.. just all shiney and new

I will post some pics tomorrow.

I'm sure they might sell for a little more based on condition. Don't think those games are desirable enough to considerably up the price though.

Working or not will help determine value.
(NIB doesn't mean they work)

Minty AND working..... ups the value a bit, exactly how much, couldn't tell ya.

I'm almost positive it's all from the same pallet I saw FS at the Kingport auction. WHat are the odds? I looked inside two Time Pilot 84 kits boxes and I saw those same games he is referring to.

The fact that they were found in TP '84 boxes is a pretty good clue that they are not new PCBs. They were pulled from the games that were converted to TP '84. You see that shit all the time when going through an op's stash. I open up all the kit boxes looking for classic surprises... I tear through them like a kid on Christmas. :004_ssmile:
Since they've probably been sitting in those boxes unmolested since the mid 80's, they should be very clean. But I seriously doubt you have virgin PCBs there. A good clean board will always command a premium, but you should not try to pass those off as NOS unless you have something concrete to back that claim up.

Well, the PCBs are in my opinion are as NEW. Too clean, no scuffs on the edge connectors.

Yes, I know what NIB means.

I restore cars for a living, so NOS and NIB are common terms and often miss used.

They look like a brand new PC motherboard does.. too clean to have been in a game unless while installed there was no dirt, dust, heat or scratches on the edge connectors

Biggest issue I see is the caps being dry from storage

One Tut board is mounted in the RF cage still, the other cage is there, but the PCB was not mounted.

And besides, I have not tried to sell as NIB, just asking how much that would add value..
