Would A Space Invaders Bezel Fit My Phoenix Cab?

My favorite front glass ever: Space Invaders and S.I. Deluxe. Looks so boss. I recently acquired a gutted Centuri Phoenix cabinet (marquee width is 23.5) and I would love to mod it into a Space Invaders with a full bezel S.I. glass front. Can this be done without too much reconstruction? Phoenix had a full glass front so I'm thinking the S.I. front glass might be roughly the same size? (hoping)

Oh also, what does a S.I. or S.I. Deluxe bezel in nice shape go for these days? Hard to find?

Thanks everyone

Space Invaders bezel's are quite a bit larger than a Phoenix. There's no way it would work.

I wonder if it could be done somehow. Phoenix has a huge front glass. Do you know what the differences are in the front glass measurements...?

I'm thinking the S.I. glass is too tall but maybe I could disregard the Phoenix marquee opening and cover that up with the top of the S.I. glass...

I...

No one cares, do they.

Glass

mamemarquees probably has the art file or you can find one of the si glass and just have it printed the size you need and apply it to a piece of glass that fits.

The original screened glass bezels are in high demand, to replace flaked ones on dedicated machines (ask Brentradio). Just get a repro bezel decal sized to your phoenix cab dimensions and stick it on a clear piece of tempered glass or plexi. You'll get the look you want without wasting an original bezel.. Besides that, tempered glass cannot be cut, so how are you gonna do this if the SI bezel is wider?

I measured my Space Invaders Deluxe for you.
Bezel is 25" wide and 26" tall.
You could download the bezel from a site like this one: http://vectorlib.free.fr/SpaceInvader/
and use Adobe Illustrator to make it the size that you need. Get it printed at a local graphics place and sandwich between 2 sheets of 1/8" plexiglass and you're good to go.

I've seen decent dedicated S.I.s for ~$200-$300, sometimes less (especially for project machines). Why would you want to go to all the trouble to convert a Phoenix?
