Worst things u ever did to an arcade game or pinball?

I put my coin into an Asteroids coin slot once. But it was cool, she was over 18 years old, so I wasn't charged.

I have sent perfectly good empty cabinets off to be killed with fire. I have decorated shop walls with side panels removed from rotted cabinets.

was attempting to move a SOLAR RIDE into my truck for transport to an auction

lost balance for a second, gravity took over and i couldnt hang onto it and over it went

no glass broke but the cabinet split apart under the head a bit from top to bottom

almost pissed my pants

got some wood glue and used my hand as a hammer and hit the cabinet and it just went together real nice

wiped off the glue that smooshed out and loaded it up and off i went to drop it off at the auction !

at the auction i tested it out and all was well. had to smack it together just a little and wiped more glue away and it sold the next day thank goodness

didnt even try and see who bought it

traded away a centipede cocktail for some jackass to multicade because i was too broke to pay for a board repair. not a really big deal, but it was in great shape, complete, and the only thing really wrong with it was some garbage characters on screen. not like its a rare game, but i hate to see one so close to working 100% with all original hardware go to some dipshit who will drop in a multicade just to make a couple bucks.

Fairly clean here... the most I've done is I've left a TMNT cabinet sitting out on my carport for about 2 years now... Well, as far as my personal machines.

Some of the stuff I did while working at the arcade, though... not proud. But I have saved several cabinets from there that were going to be tossed, so... maybe breaking even?

Edited:......please erase thread. Thx...

Oh, this had to be interesting!!
NO ONE, will top Todd on this thread though...
(Sorry Todd, you know throwing machines from the rooftop will have to come up)
:D

But I have to Double Dog Dare someone to admit to it...

Come to think of it, I cut a solid, but empty Pac Cocktail up with a reciprocating saw because some guy won it on Ebay and wanted me to ship only specific parts so he could restore his....
Shardian then restored the hulk of what I left behind... thread somewhere on that....

I crushed a Pole Position with an excavator.
It collapsed like a pop can, and actually looked like smashed Pepsi can when I was through :)

back in the day I used to punch the games when I was mad.
I would never do that now.

but I must have busted over 50 marquees (punching through them)

I think I learned my lesson on one of them that had 1" thick wood behind it.

I raped a Berenstain Bears once.

Kinda my fault

Buddy called me about (5) complete taitos (some rare) that were being dropped off in his driveway.. Should have rushed over, but couldnt get out of work for 2 more hours.. By the time I got there, it had rained for an hour, all five games were totally waterlogged.. If you know taito cabs, they are sponges.. They were ruined :(

Yes, we salvaged the parts.. But most of the cabs were perfect 2 hours before the rain.. I still want to punch the delivery guy in the face.. He had brought them all the way up the east coast, only to let them get rained on..

The worst was I guess when I screwed up a working Gyruss PCB installing the High save score kit. Funny thing was the 2nd board set had no issues at all when I socket the chip. I may go back now and try to fix it since I know more about PCB repair and have proper jumper cable. Oh and replacing a capacitor on a TMNT pcb made it no longer work but I may be able to fix that as well just something about Konami PCB's that don't like me. But I never had any issues rebuilding the X men sound chip so go figure.

I once let a Moppet cab fly out of the back of my truck...oh wait...that was someone else :D
