We've found seven wasp nests in a Breakout (one behind the PCB) and a mouse nest in a Missile Command coin box... pretty mild stuff.

Any live animals?

Wondering who has the best story...

Worst thing I had was a rat's nest in a Centipede marquee box. The area hade to be sealed with Killz to get rid of the smell.

Go ahead someone post the pic...... Wait for it ...... Here it comes........

Guess I will post it....

I found a nice mummified mouse in the power supply for one of my Monaco GP minis... maybe that's why it originally stopped working?

Sorry Mickey.

Oh and good lord pseeds, is that a dildo or a battering ram? ... or both.... :D

I the cabinet was being used as a "weapons" stash. :)

I didn't find it so have no idea. Check the thread link for more info.

That thread has been referenced quite a bit recently.

What kind of cab was that in?

Hyper Sports (from scanning the old thread) converted to "Choplifter".

gotta wonder who it came from, too?

From the thread. Written by pacray: "I bought the game off eBay. There were keys. The owner swears he knew nothing about it, however he couldn't resist the temptation to remove it from the cabinet, stick it to the floor, and watch it wobble."

Reached inside a big red Neo a couple years ago to open the cp, dropped it down and was sitting on my little stepstool to fix the bad button when the cp moved about 6 inches away from my face. Talk about not seeing the forest for the trees, kinda completely missed the live opossum in there. After it moved, I ended up about 6 feet away from the game in the standing position with the cp closed, and absolutely no recollection of how any of that happened....
Long and short of it, we called animal control and got it out. That was one I won't forget anytime soon!

Other than that, wasp nests, spiders, dead mice, the usual suspects.

I posted a topic similar to this about 2 years ago. I was at a super auction and bought like 15 cabs for a $1 in the dead row line. I was buying things I didnt know much about since it was late, I had tons of room left on my trailers and the cabs were going for next to nothing. Loaded up a working Willow cab that was in rough shape. The back lock was broken off and the previous owner and nailed a second piece of plywood on the back to hold things together.

Later that weekend when we finally got around to unloading all the cabs back at the shop I decided to pry open the back of the cab. Inside the cab was about 6" of shit. All sorts of random things. Dust, dirt, grim, papers, fast food wrappers, pieces of the original wiring of whatever game that was inside the cab before, dead leaves, soda cans, etc. There was a horrible smell coming from the cab and for a second I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me but it appeared the bottom was moving. I started sifting through the 6 inches of shit inside only to discover the entire bottom of the cab was filled with maggots and the skeleton of what I would assume a dead cat. (or really large rat or squirrel)

I immediately freaked out. Then puked. My brother and friend came over to see what the commotion was and they also puked. What I saw in that cab was unimaginable. I still cant believe that machine powered on and everything worked. The entire bottom of that cab was buried in garbage and you couldnt even see the power supply or transformer.

People always asked why didnt you take and post some pics? In retrospect I probably should of to confirm how horrible the inside of that cab was, however at the time it was so foul and the idea of having that in my shop made my skin crawl I had no other option than to immediately run that sucker straight to the dumpster.

Since then I always think twice about opening up the back of a newly purchased arcade cab!

Wonder if that was a Frizz cab? He had a cat problem and doesn't like cats.
Captured one and nailed the cab shut.

:)

Another with a mummified mouse. I jumped pretty far. Somehow, I had a plastic bag over my hand, as I expected it was pretty nasty in there.

Someone at RGVAC found a dead cat AND her kittens at the bottom of a Timber.

That's...pretty bad. :(
