Worst thing about cleaning Arcades.

I absolutely dread reaching my hand into a cabinet and feeling spider webs. Ugh, I hate it when people see my reaction. Its comparable to a 6 year old girl.

not half as bad as when you're listening to a dull sermon and watching a spider on the seat top in front of you which then jumps at you and scares the wally outaya! major sliding down chair to floor to escape the stares moment!

Worst thing about cleaning "ARCADES" would be having to pull all those games away from the walls to find a bunch of garbage, dead mice, dried up ICEE's and other nasty crap. Not to mention having to take all the games apart so you can move them.

Oh, "ARCADE" you meant a single game... Thats easy... I've seen all kinds of nasty stuff in a game but its never been a big deal. Get out the shop vac...

When I brought home my Badlands, it had mold on the bottom along with a bunch of spiders. One of the spider egg pouches busted, and about a million tiny spiders started pouring out. I have never seen that before. My friend took off like a little girl when they started moving.

I found it pretty fascinating, but my skin did crawl a bit while handling the machine.

The worst part of cleaning an arcade would probably be the bathroom. That would suck.

I forgot about those... I never had to clean the bath rooms at the Arcades that I've worked at though.

I hate that, especially since some spiders blend in with the wood so you cant see them. Next thing you know there's 10 little spiders crawling up your arm....

Mold also sucks to clean up.

I think my worst favorite thing to clean when cleaning up an Arcade is old dried up gum, that someone stuck on the machine back it the 80's. It seems pretty gross even though its 30 years old. There was 5 pieces on the machine I just picked up!! Whats your worst favorite arcade thing to clean??

Are you kidding me?! The whole value of the game is in the gum. I scrape that gold off and immediately start chewing it. Where else do you expect to find vintage gum like hubba bubba before all those nasty flavors they intorduced later on.

I have (laser tag/multi-level kid hampster thing/about 50 games/some food) and yeah, it does suck. By far, and I mean by far, the women's bathroom was the worst of the two. The women's bathroom on an average day made almost any men's room I've been in look spotless.

If I saw a spider egg sac rip open and little spiders start pouring out I would scream like a cheerleader and run. I don't have a problem with spiders for the most part, so long as they stay off of me and aren't hanging at head height somewhere I want to go, but that shit is just creepy.

I used to work at an Amusement park in the Bay Area (anyone remember Marine World in Redwood Shores?). I had some friends that worked for park maintenance. One day I saw a group of them go into the Woman's bathroom only to come out about 30 seconds later and erect a big sign that said "Nuclear waste site, do not enter" over the door! I went in and was shocked at what I saw... Holy sheite batman!

The worst for me are live spiders... * shudders *

Don't ever go to Australia, then... We are so not even close to the top of the food chain!

Read up on:
- Red back spider (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Redback_spider)
- Funnel spider. Lethal in 40 minutes! (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sydney_funnel-web_spider)
- Huntsman spider (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Huntsman_spider)

We saw all three and have I got stories for you about the Huntsman (in one, I had pinned one against the wall with a tupperware container and let me tell you... he was pissed. scared the crap out of me!)

I had gone to that Marine World back in the day. Years later I lived in a townhouse in Redwood Shores where the park used to be. The new park in Vallejo was much nicer.

You and I have crossed paths then. I had friends that lived in those condo's where the park used to be and would visit them all the time. I know that the new park in Vallejo is nicer but that old park was where I lived during the summer as a kid. It had lots of sentimental value to me. To get to work there for its last 4 years was a lot of fun.

Of course I worked in the games department! If I only knew then what I know now... That Tempest, Star Wars and Galaga would have been running all the time!

Sounds pretty boring. You also have limted availibility to arcade games. There is always a trade-off. :(

Eh, I'm sure I could find some games from my arcades supplier(God I probably looked like a retard looking for a company sticker..., had some fun on tetris and metal slug 4 though) and it's actually pretty fun here. Hunting, skidoo's, atv's, dirtbikes etc are big here...As well as fishing. You haven't had Cod fish until you've been here.

i dont have a problem with the cleaning, its after your done when the f$^#**g game doesent work when your done.. to me thats the worst part about cleaning, and why sometimes i dont clean certian things!!
