Worst game you ever bought, gameplay wise?

I'm going to have to go with Golden Tee. I bought it for the monitor, but it counts since I did buy it.

Right behind that is Route 16.

Definitely Computer Space. Great historical piece...terrible game for playing.

I'd have to say a couple years ago I was picking up two machines that I bought on eBay.

1 of them was a Joust. A lotta people on here praise Joust and I got a good deal on it at the time. Well the machine had some rom errors and (lucky for me was my out). When the seller finally got it to work after the 10th try I looked at it like "WTF is this crap". I donno couldnt get the hang of it or EVER see myself playing it. Thankful it had that error or I woulda been stuck with a 400 lb piece of MEH.

Anyone else buy something they heard was good or the price was right only to find out later what an utter piece of GARBAGE it was.

Now Im sure some will say I LOVE JOUST. But Im not one of them.

Funny how I had to all but give it away..I actually bought it back from myself at an auction I tried to sell it at...then the next lowest bidder approached me about wanting it..so after imagining myself unloading it back into my place I sold it to the guy for half of what I paid for it....Im glad its gone.....

I bought my Krull from SoCal Mike. I like the game a lot.

It's down right now. Monitor keeps going out. Looking forward to getting it fixed because I miss it.

WOW all the Joust hate??? Joust Rules!!! Oh Drew I just picked up a near Mint Zaxxon., hard game but love it. I remember the day it arrived in the arcade back in 82!!

I bought a pit fighter and boy I think that game sucks so bad.

I hated it so much I used an angle grinder to remove a chip I needed for a pacman board

Then I snapped the board in half.

Since then I have seen the PCBs of the game passed in on eBay at 0.99c

Joust is awesome. I'm shocked there is anyone that doesn't at least enjoy it... But hate for it? Wow.

Joust is one of those games that you either love it or you just don't get it. I just don't get it. When I play it, I feel like I'm going to break the joystick off because I'm fighting it so hard.

I take it by you saying "have owned", that means you no longer have it. I hope you took a lot of good pictures of this before you got rid of it. I've never seen a dedicated in person. I've seen photo's that were not so great. It would be great to see a good set of pictures of it. Was the front glass actual glass or plexi? I heard on the dedicated's it was glass. How about the marquee? Glass or plexi? What kind of joystick did it have (simple 4-way or optic)? What color was the knob?

Mystic marathon not the worst game by any strech. If you just wanted to go with williams games, try motorace usa..

If you wanted to worst game ever, I bet you could find hundreds of games.. What comes to mind is vectorbeam barrier..

I agree on almost all points, Motorace USA is awful. And there are hundreds of bad games out there. I actually kind of like Barrier though. It's the full size arcade version of the handheld Mattel Football game. How can you not like that?
