Worst Arcade Week Evar

Qbert checklist
blah blah blah deleted
Dude these things are HORRIBLE when it comes to reliability. I don't think the Q*Bert I owned ever worked for more than 2 or 3 months at a time for the 4 years I owned it. I finally sold it. Sorry about your bad week. Next week will be better.

Of that I have no doubt. Thanks Sav.

this is what happens when you have a lot of stuff. the more stuff the more that will go wrong with it. i think a week never goes by where something I have does not stop working/need replacement/repair. I know it's annoying but just remember you have tons of other crap to play with and try not to focus on the stuff that's not working, it detracts from enjoying the rest of it.

-My Multi-Williams build is still stalled because I can't get the control wiring to do what it is supposed to. I only get 10 minutes to look at it every 3 days and I am still stuck. That was after my MW overlay got nearly ruined by faulty bolt heads underneath it.
What issues are you having if you don't mind me asking. This killed me too. I swear I did exactly as it said, but in the end everything works except on Joust, where one of the two joysticks will not move your mount right or left. Jow got it this way when I traded it to him (he knew up front of course I told him) as I could not find out WTF the problem was, as the joystick works perfectly fine for everything else. At least it's not MY problem anymore... :001_ssuprised:;)

Man that sucks it all happened within a short amount of time.

Even with my little bit of knowledge, I think I can help.

Make sure your voltages are indeed what they should be on your Sea Wolf. Especially the +5v; has to be over 5v for sure. You'll get garbage if its not.

Also check to see if the Roms have unseated themselves. They pop out when they get hot. I had to friggin tape one of mine in to make it stay in place!!

I would check the bottle cap transistors and look for cold solder joints at the deflection board connections on the tempest : )

phet, sorry to hear about your bad times. Whenever there is a bad day with these gmes, a Pole Position is not far away from the carnage.

I hear you about 10 minutes at a time. I have resorted to staying at work late here or there just to get something done.

Perk up. It will get better

I've been on a low-carb diet, and the first thing I'm doing when I hit my goal is to have a big bowl of Cap'n Crunch.

Oh yeah, I also found out that Cap'n Crunch is being phased out, which makes me sad. I like that cereal line and have been impressed that the cartoon commercials are still around.

That really sucks about Cap'n Crunch! I can totally identify with what you are going through. Things have been pretty tough for me as well here lately. On the "bright side", Frito Lay just brought back the ORIGINAL Taco Flavor Doritos!!! Just like when I was a kid. I think that they were discontinued some time in the mid '80's. Nothing tastes quite like having a snack that consists of those with an ice cold Coca Cola. Brings back the "good ole days" for me...

sorry to hear about all that shit, phet. at least you didn't cause your issues. i'm so pissed i fucked up my multi williams control panel and cpo i don't even think i'm gonna play it till i get a new overlay to start over with.
