Clearly this guy didn't even try. Yet he's already comparing his piece of ratshit to decent, clean, and artsy cabs going for $1400.

With the exception of buying a board and throwing it on the supplied jamma harness, this guy didn't even do one friggen' thing. He's lucky he didn't list an asking price as I'm sure some of our KLOV brothers would have ripped him to shreds on CL.

THE AD READS:
Full size coin op arcade jamma video game that has 60 original games in one cabinet. Cabinet was a Rim Rockin Basketball arcade game that has been cleaned and plays great. The board is the newest 60-1 I-cade that also takes a computer monitor and trackball. games are;
* 1942
* 1943
* Blah blah blah, I can cut and paste a game list....
* Zaxxon

These games sell as high as $1400 and I will sell it much cheaper because;

The monitor has burn in, when playing it is somewhat noticable, when game is off it is very noticable.
The cabinet is plain black, no sideart.
The control panel is an ugly green. Needs a new control panel overlay.
The header does not display multi cade, it has a football game display, $20.00 on-line.

This cabinet has no water damage and with some sideart would look great. If the monitor burn in bugs you then just put in an lcd computer monitor, very easy to do. I wanted to leave everything original. I am 5 minutes from the airport off I-205, SR-14, 192 Exit in Vancouver. I will reply quickly and the game is in my garage for an easy move to your car. Thanks, Steve

Not a mame system, this is an original jamma arcade cpu arcade game. Has coin mechs and set on free play.

Anyways, you guys gotta see this ugly thing. I'd offer him $150, then pull the board and do something good with the cab. ewww.
My favorite thing he states is that it will use a computer monitor and trackball. But of course, what does his cab include to entice us? A washed out, burned tube and 2 joysticks.

At least he didn't include two words that would've made him cannon fodder for the forum:

You obviously haven't seen any 60-in-1's if that's the worst you've ever seen...

no, no. I've seen many. And although this one doesn't appear as shitty as someone shoving it into a starate cab and painting it black and adding a marquee, its still sucks. I guess the way I should have put the title is "this is the laziest bastard who put forth the least amount of effort in order to try to get a wad of money". I can't find one thing beyond slipping the new board on.

god, he even mentions a new "topper" can be purchased for $20 online. Like wow. This guy couldn't spend the $20?

The worst part is knowing its probably going to be relisted 100 times o my local CL.

You should see the crappy one I've got on eBay right now. I didn't spend the $20 to put in a marquee. It looks horrendous. It has what looks like a homemade yellow marquee that says "classics". The cabinet is pretty sad - brush painted blue. I don't even know why I'm telling you about it - it's an embarrassment.

In my opinion, you have to weigh the value when you consider fixing up one of these junky cabinets. The question I ask is, will my added effort and expense add MORE value to the finished product that the cost of adding it? If no, forget it - sell it as a monstrosity. I started mine at 99 cents with no reserve, and just hoped that in the end it would sell for more than I had in all the parts. We'll see.

Ouch. If I plan on flipping a multi, I always look at the quality of the cab before I consider putting a single dime into it. If one can sell for $600, but it'll cost $400 in arts, monitors, new controls, boards, etc, then I won't even bother making one.

So, of course, being more curious than interested, I emailed the dude this morning asking what his price was (because he didn't list one).

And of course, the inevitable response:

"I got 7 emails this morning saying the same thing. I know this is not a $1,000 game by any means, make me a good offer and we can go from there if you want."

Now, I don't plan on taking it any further than this, because we all know the "Make me an offer" bullshit never works out. Plus, I have no interest in buying this peice of crap. But every fiber in me, just wants to send him an email saying, "would you take $150 for it". LOL
