I stumbled upon what appears to be the coolest Rush'n Attack ever assembled. It's not the best game in the world, but it's not bad if you can get into stabbing a bunch of commies in the gut.

Apparently some guy made all the art himself, except the marquee. Either he has access to some high end printing stuff or money is no object for this project. I guess I appreciate what he did here and even though a Joust lost its life many years back, the end result is unique.

Here's the source (mostly just him trying to sell it, circa 2009):

Definitely a nice look. Unfortuately, if that was the actual conversion kit, we'd all be saying how much of a better job they could've done...but, it is a sharp custom, IMO.

I have seen this before, loved the game in the arcade, always wanted to restore one, you could do it cheap, well, until I saw this one, hence, no need to try... kick ass if you ask me...

i had one for a month got sick of it and sold it. still a cool game but it gets old quick in my opinion.

I'm restoring mine with the same art. Although Im having to clean it up and modify a lot of things because the art is not up to scrutiny close up. I'll start a new thread soon to show the details.

That would be awesome to see. I love this game and got it for the NES after I played this game at a bowling alley once. The original arcade was in a operation wolf or T2 type cabinet wasn't it? Just had joys instead of guns though. That is the type of cabinet we played it on. I would own one if I had the room.

usually i see them in williams cabs for some reason

The Rush N Attack kit could be installed in any cabinet outfitted with a raster horizontal monitor.

I owned one in a Missile Command cab many moons ago, but I've also seen it in cabs that once belonged to Pac-Man, Dragon's Lair, Defender, Breakout, Scramble, Berzerk, Space Duel, Dig Dug, etc.

This custom cabinet is very nicely done, and is definitely the best Rush N Attack I've ever seen.

Kyle

That looks awesome.....I'm not a fan of conversions (most of them are awful) but this looks good. I like Rush-n-Attack, it's a cool game, and I played it alot back in the day.
