I remember playing this BITD and happen to run across one the other day and noticed the key ports for the "Statistics Key". I've never seen one of these when the game first came out and to this day have yet to see one. Anyone know how you actually went about getting one of these? Was this a Vendor's Only Key or could players get ahold of one?

I had a WSB last year and had no "key". The games were ready for them, but I heard the "keys" were never produced. Cool idea though. - Barry

Hmmmm.....Well that sucks. Been trying to think if there were any other games that did this but can't think of any.

I think the overlay just covered the slots on them, but the hardware is under there if you cut the overlay away.

Great idea until someone sticks a piece of gum in there or a pocket knife.

I have those slots on the fron of my panel but they are just empty oval shaped holes with a plate in back. I always wondered what those things were for/about.

My world series baseball has the stat key readers in it, and I know a guy who offered to sell me some stat keys. I will buy some once I shotgun the monitor, and see how it works. I think the theory was to do like the neo-geo card readers, and have players keep all their stats to compete with their own player save stats.

I would like to see what one of these keys looks or would have looked like if they weren't made. Kinda wondering if anyone has a key card for the Golden Tee games? I hear you can win prizes using those.
