World Record Made on DK3 machine - 10 minutes to go and $41.

Still... Only 60 Bucks???

Man, I'd be so pissed if I were that dude. Although he did limit himself to local pickup only.

Who on here got it? :D

Adelanto, CA is about 100 miles from nowhere, I'm guessing that had a lot to do with it.

It's pretty damn close to LA, though.

Hell. With more notice than this had, I might have bit. I drove to Los Angeles for my second game, an empty Tempest cab. (From Gene at Vintage Arcade Superstore)

Mclemore, did you win it? ;)

I watched the first two videos. For the first time ever, DK3 looked fun. Off to the garage to see if it is fun. I thought you always had to shoot DK to the top, but as a shooter, this game may work.

I wonder if he saw the episode of bones where they said "people will pay big bucks to play on a machine that won the world record"

I think that just proved the statement wrong

Good Price!

I hate DK3 so I'd have sold all of that and had a great start turning it back into a DK.

Now he has two world records. The DK3 score and the biggest screwing on a no reserve game. Ouch.

I have had a DK3 in my garage for a couple of years now, and never even once tried to accidentally shoot all of the bugs. It is a completely different game than I thought it was. It is actually a lot of fun when you play it right. There is a little Galaxian/Galaga feel to it even. The 3 bugs attacking in formation is so obvious now that I am looking at the game as a shooter instead of trying to figure out how it is a DK game. Once you start playing, that even becomes evident as you have different goals for each screen.

I still can't believe the difference. The DK3 is my girlfriend's, and I have been trying to think of a way to get her to trade it for a while. I am kinda glad I didn't get it done.

Definitely give this game a second look if you, like me, just thought you were supposed to push DK to the top.

So yeah, the buyer got a great deal on this game.

I learned that too after I got mine. I thought the only way to play it was to spray Donkey Kong to the top and then I saw Spaeth play it and was like DUH!!!! You can kill all the bugs to clear the level!?? Totally changed the game for me.
