Working on a Wells chassis and this one white wire came off. Anyone have a clue?

Pulled this chassis to do a cap kit and this one wire came off. It's on a little panel on the side with a cap and some resistors. Not sure what that is used for but I don't know where it popped off from. Any help would be awesome! Thanks!

it goes on the neck board socket.

there is a pin that is NOT soldered down to the PCB on the neck socket.

you solder it to that bent up pin on the neck socket.

do NOT solder the pin that is bent up and away from the neck PCB to the neck PCB it is supposed to be unattached.

the MED res 19" K7000 can be a PAIN to fix.
if you hit a brick wall, your welcome to send it in.

good luck on the repair.

I'm capping a K7500 now shesh! Way too many caps on this thing and all goofy values and this thing was home use only since new! Cold solder all over the place.

Ha!! your lucky.

i just did a combination of about 35, U5000/U2000/74/75's for 2 different operators.
half of them were missing neck boards, had the wrong neck boards, no remote boards, missing parts you name it.

send that gravy chassis on in and i will take care of all your problems.

look at all the pins on the neck socket. Buffett already explained this. you'll find one of the neck pins are not soldered in, but bent upward and out of the way.

that's where. you might even find a chunk of solder on the end where it broke off. that's how I determined it on a NARC monitor.

So where I'm pointing at with the pencil tip in this pic should be where it goes correct?
