What should this go for? Seller doesn't mention recapping or burn in but I'd be able to see it before picking it up locally.

Depending on phosphor burn I'd say somewhere around $200ish would be fair, if working. These are very common (relatively speaking) and durable and don't command the higher prices of the color vector monitors.

$450 is way too much. Even if it's a NOS tube, frame is shiny, and the PCBs look factory fresh with brand new high quality caps.

IIRC, the G805-801 is built a little better than the -802. That would increase its value.

I'd say maybe $200-250. Definitely no more than $300 and only if it's truly immaculate.

If it had a new NOS 19VARP B/W XY tube, that of itself, nowadays, is worth more than $300US (plus shipping). (Of course, they used to be half that price).
Add in the "working but not refurb'd" boards and cabling and metal chassis ... then what do you have? $450 more or less?

Since no NOS tube here and boards/etc not "reconditioned", then the price, IMHO is in the $300+ range.
I believe B/W vector monitors are gaining in price as the years go by ... YMMV

It all depends on how much the buyer wants/needs it and how much the seller wants to give it away.

The image is of the monitor hanging out of the back of the asteroids machine and working. My total presumption is the seller saw the NOS Ebay ads and slapped a price on this used, as-is pull. I may follow up but what Im really looking for is a local monitor source going forward, this doesnt seem to be it.

if it is free of burn I would say $250… vector monitors are getting very hard to find geographically and always get swallowed up by all the asteroid games that are so plentiful in collections… I bought a spare years ago for my Asteroids Deluxe because even 5 years ago it was hard to find one…

I purchased this at $250 in the end. I made the offer, he countered at 300 and I said no. A couple of weeks later he contacted me again and accepted the 250.

I believe the seller ( who is actually a nice guy, a friend has bought a couple of things from him) outsourced this for a repair and was trying to make profit above his costs. When i picked it up he stated I was getting a really good deal.

I remember buying a G05-805 (the 15" version for cabarets and cocktails) off someone here for $50… shipped.
