Word misuse in the hobby and how it annoys you...

Words I can't stand are arcades when describing individual video games. Also, Tables, or "pin tables" when describing pinball machines. That fucking drives me nuts.

Also, usually in pinball, I see people describe a machine as "stunning", or "breathtaking". JFC, it is not Marilyn Monroe's asshole, it's a fucking game! Just say it is in good shape and i'll show you some pics. Sheesh.

I thought 'table' was accepted in the industry. Even The Who's Pinball Wizzard refers to 'the Bally table king'.

I agree, even the xbox arcade game that I have refers to the different pinball machines as tables.

Very few things bug me but I think the one statement that annoys me from time to time is:

"works all the way"

not sure where that gem came from... or what exactly it means to the person making the statement
