Woodworking questions for thos in the know

You wouldn't want one after a couple false activations.. My work place stopped selling them because of it. Each time you'll need to replace the cartridge ($100) and replace the 10" blade that was just destroyed.

If we're going to talk cabinet saws.. you should take a look at the new Delta 36-L352 Uni-saw. The "bells & whistles" table saw :)

Yeah, but those are 220V saws => inconvenient. Plus they are professional grade saws with price tags 10X what he requested. Complete overkill unless you make furniture/cabinets for a living. And questionable even then. Of course, if one showed up on my doorstep, prepaid, I would dance gleefully. :)

I agree about the safety saw. False triggers would get to be expensive. If you're using the saw correctly, you shouldn't need that anyway. I could see it being useful in a production shop, where the demand for faster work might lead to careless use. But for home use, I'm not so sure. I'd worry about kickback more than losing a finger.
