I'm in the process of restoring a Ms. Pac-Man cocktail. After removing the old laminate, and filling and sanding the cabinet, I'm now realizing how difficult it is to find replacement woodgrain vinyl!

The only thing I could come up with is through www.parts-express.com, but this stuff is much lighter than the original (walnut?). Is there anywhere else I can try?

I'm in the same boat you are. Can't seem to find anything for the beast I'm restoring. What about shelving paper you find at a K-Mart? Seen some kids recover drum sets with that.....

All the stuff I've found at K-Mart, Wal-mart, Target, etc. is 18" wide Con-Tac paper... Not quite wide enough to seamlessly cover the machine with. I'm looking into other sources for 'Presidential Walnut' vinyl laminate, but it looks like I may have to purchase in bulk.

I would also like to find the dark walnut laminate. I have a DK mini that needs it. I have thought about covering the sides in a black laminate. I have so far resisted but since I don't seem to be able to find brown t-mold, I may make the sides black and use white t-mold to complete it. I had BillyBob print the front sticker and changed the brown background to black. I hate to change from original but it might not look bad. Thoughts?

I was thinking of buying a roll of the Dayton Audio Black Ash laminate from Parts Express as a last resort. I've got a few E-mails out that I'm waiting for replies on for the dark walnut, so I'll let you know as soon as I hear something.

I seem to remember buying some at arcadeshop.com, and even though he said he was running low, it might be worth a phone call. There have been so many people looking for it on this website alone that I would imagine they'll have to get more. I used it on a Gorf mini, and although it wasn't quite as dark as the original, it was close enough and looks really really nice.

I called over to ArcadeShop. They only have the lighter woodgrain in stock, and it is $99.00 a roll. A bit more than I'm willing to budget for my cocktail cab right now.

They have several shades of the vinyl wood grain at partsexpress. I couldn't get a close match for my Pac either, so I just went with the closest possible.

You can use formica laminate, but the cost will go up substantially.

The woodgrain laminate that I was told can be ordered special by Home Depot is under $100 for a 96" x 48" piece.

So if durability is important that seems to me to be the best option.
