Woodgrain arcade vinyl

I bought the arcade shop stuff for my Frogger resto. It is of very good quality. I don't think the price is that bad considering it is more than enough to do the whole cab. Of course, then you still have to buy the side art as well.

Here is a link to a post that I did a few months back. I thought it came out great.

That looks great Tom, my only concern would be the strengh of the adhesive. Did it seem good and tacky when you applied it? Also, does that Polycrylic clear gloss dry well on the vinyl? I just aquired a Centuri cab, and I plan on fully restoring it to a Pleiades or Phoenix, and I just don't know if butting up the paper would show on that cab. Ill hafta ponder on it. Looks great, and thanks for the info.

The tack was not quite what I would have liked, but the Polycrylic helps. The Polycrylic dries well on the vinyl. The best result are if you have the area laying flat. It may not be like the original, but it is a 10th of the price and you can see that it looks good.

What about this?

opinions?

I think they have a few other options on this site but I can not tell if any of it would be good or not. It was pointed out to me by another member. They have some color matchs that are very close to the original Atari caberet stuff and B/M cocktails. I am just not sure about the thickness and if it can be purchased in more than 18" wide rolls.

Isn't the actual woodgrain laminate originally used cheaper?(Less than $100 at Home Depot when I last checked).

Don't laugh... but I re-did my cocktail control panel with the cheap-ass woodgrain shelving paper from Home Depot... get this... 3 years ago! It really matches the original Atari woodgrain look too. It still looks great and the cab has been through quite a bit over those 3 years.
