ok i know this has been talked about in several threads...but never saw one that says how to strip all paint off of a wood cp(partical or plywood) for an overlay to be put on cp!

citristrip i would make wood never adhere correct?

I would just sand it off.
Start with maybe 100 grit then go to finer grits till the scratches are gone.

If all you're doing is adding a new CPO then you dont need to strip the wood simply sand it until she's nice and smooth and put your CPO on. Why would it matter if there's paint on it? If you want to be that anal then citris strip it. You'll still have to sand it afterwards.
