Woo hoo! Just acquired a dedicated Bally/Midway Bull Fight...

It's in a "6-pack" conversion cabinet - "Up 'N Down" printed on the PCB; "Mr. Viking" sticker on the same PCB, Bull Fight ROMs. Original dip switch instruction sheets are crumbling, but they're for Bull Fight, and the factory paper tag stapled on the inside of the cabinet says
"BULL - UR". Bull Fight instruction card under the monitor glass, original marquee, etc. I think it came from the factory as Bull Fight - opinions?

I'll work on posting some pictures. It's not a "classic" by any means, but I'm betting it's an unusual eBay find (you might have seen it there). There's no wire hacking / new hardware in the machine as far as I can see. Looks totally original. Works, too (for now) :)

Anyone else have one of these? I've tried looking online for someone else with a working machine, but to no avail. How rare do you think it is?

That is a really cool find! I remember playing Bull Fight back in the day and it is actually a pretty fun game. I have a Water Match upright from the Bally six-pack series and it is pretty rare too!

Nice score, Never played that one, would love to see a video! (and Pic)

It really is. Tricky until you figure out the strategy of the cape & sword...

That's cool! How many 6-pack games were actually released? Wasn't it only 4? Or more?

I'll work on getting both posted here. Vid might take awhile, but I already have pics...

Here are some pictures. I'll describe:

Bull1 = "Up N' Down" silkscrened on the PCB
Bull2 = Bull Fight ROMs on the board
Bull3 = The entire PC with the Bull Fight ROMs in place
Bull4 = Yeah, "Mr. Viking". This thing can't decide what it wants to be...
Bull5 = ...but this makes up its mind. Looks like it was a Bull Fight from the factory?

And...

Bull6 = My theory is that the one coin slot might've been blocked off at the factory.
Bull7 = The original dip switch sheets inside the cab (stuffed up behind the marquee)
Bull8 = Facing forward...
Bull9 = One side...
Bulll10 = Instruction sheet

Just checked KLOV: two boardsets listed, no machines.

Really? I keep hearing stories about people playing this back in the day. There's gotta be more of `em out there...

That Bullfight UR tag looks just like my Ms Pac tag... id say dedicated.

Yeah - I've been looking at other Bally/Midway factory tag pictures and, though the cabinets are different styles, that particular tag always seems to have the same font, and is always the same size.

Sure looks dedicated to me as the flyer shows the 6-pack cabinet as the dedicated style.

Thanks for posting this. Yep - other than some scuffs and 25 years of various wear, that's it.

No problem... What was it about arcade game flyers and sex... "The point of the game is penetrating". Duh!!! When isn't that the point???

Pretty damn cool.. Congrats.. I dont think ive ever seen one.

Thanks! I still haven't found anyone on the `net with one, and the guy I bought it from (excellent trasnaction) said he hadn't seen one in the 15 years he'd been collecting.

Exactly. Then there's this:

"Penetrate deep enough and you'll bring the bull to a deadly demise that's not a pretty sight."

They're not kidding. When the bull finally dies, he bleeds out through the mouth onto the dirt!

Since this was in 1984, I'm wondering if this one detail limited the release of this game?

forgot about that game. I played it back in the 80's...

It seems like lots of people did! Yet this is the only complete machine I've seen word of on the net or anywhere else...

Nice pickup..

Does anyone know if the roms have been dumped for mame?

Yes, they did. If you have trouble finding them, I might still have a link...
