Having recently repaired a Wonder Boy board that had a faulty encrypted CPU I replaced this with a Z80A and used this rom set:

MAWS refers to it as 'prototype?'

This single board (Sega original, no daughterboards) uses 3 x 27128s for the CPU code - the other non encrypted set:

http://maws.mameworld.info/maws/romset/wboy2u

uses 6 x 2764s for the main CPU code, but even correctly pairing these up and programming them into 3 x 27128 EPROMs doesn't enable them to work on the single board type.

Why am I trying to do this? Because the 'prototype?' set doesn't have an end of level jingle or the jingle when a fairy is collected.

Is there a later non-encrypted set with the aforementioned jingles which SHOULD work on the single board type?

Thanks
