A local pin seller decided to raffle off a pinball machine instead of selling it outright. He limited the raffle tickets to 12 total. I figured, what the hell. The odds were good.

Well, I won! WOOT!

Not exactly an "A" title. And far from mint. But, the price was right. And, it works.

Needs a little work, cleaning, bulbs, switches checked, etc. But it will be a fun summer project. Not sure where this is gonna go. I got no room!

It's a pretty neat game. Has an over-sized head (could be bad), a bagatelle game in the backglass, these cannons that shoot the pinball through the air and into the wire lanes.

I'll put up a video once I get everything running perfect.

I guess I'm in the minority but I really like my BG. It's fun to play 4-5 times and try to crank out the multiballs, hit Queen's Rescue and nail the skill shot. Nice score!

You lock the balls by hitting them into the cannon, right? On mine, the left cannon ejects the ball as soon as you launch a new ball. That's not right, right?

Did you buy more than one ticket to increase your odds?

SWEET! I was wondering witch one you were going to pick.
Very cool. Glad you won.

Yeah, Eric, I had to go with this one. It was actually a tough choice. The other pin choice was Road Kings. The Road Kings was in better shape (cabinet exterior-wise) but was a little older and it just seemed a little lacking compared to the slightly newer Big Guns.

I had that same problem. Once I lifted the playfield I saw that the switch was unscrewed (the one that activates once a ball is sitting in the canon). After screwing it back in it worked fine.

My guess would be that either the microswitch is loose and not connecting, or the metal bracket that the ball lowers when it's loaded into the canon is bend or broken. Whatever the case, the ball is being shot automatically because the switch isn't activated.

BG is a pretty violent non-shaker motor game. Those canons put out a lot of vibrations (as do the top drop targets). If things aren't screwed in tight or connected well they tend to come loose.

Ok, cool. I was hoping it was something like that. I can't wait to get out there and get this thing going 100% (tomorrow is Mother's day, so gotta wait...)

Big Guns is awesome. Whenever I think of how good the original themes were from the 80's, I usually think of this game. It's a sleeper for sure, but really packs a one two punch when it comes to the art and music.

Awesome. The thrill of winning anything for next to nothing is totally kick ass. Awaiting your next youtube vid.
