Very good...believe it or not..that one was a joke...for whatever reason I usually catch the "to or too" when typing my reports...wasn't sure you'd catch that one...the grammer police are backing me up...I love it!

Now come type my reports for me and I will love you long time!

The 'crossdresser' comment is crossing the line. Many women would find that comment inappropriate, and if that women or husband or family member were on the board they would not find the comment warm and uplifting...

Again... would you want that kind of comment posted about you?

I think we're crossing the line policing the threads. We went from too little to too much in a matter of weeks. With some of the other comments here, that is mild. And that comment would never be made about me, my wife or kids as I or they would never dress so ridiculously and parade around like that in public.

Besides - they are essentially anonymous; there was no face shot so no-one will know who they are, and I am on the east coast and will never see this person to embarrass them.

but it looks like my wife missed out on the honor of being included even though she was there virtually the entire time. Probably was too hard to get a shot of her while she was chasing the kids from game to game. ;)

That and the fact you can bench press two Mach 3 cockpits. For those of you whose wives or girlfriends didn't make the album this year, my apologies. Had a I snapped photos of every woman, I probably would never have played a single game, instead I played about 5 games. Hmmmm, maybe I should just take pix all show long.

Full Throttle has an image which belongs in the album....he showed it to me on Sunday. Perhaps he'll post it when he gets back to WA.

I'm bringing my girl next year in a mini skirt and halter top. Promise...
Here's pics for homie asking for arcade cleavage! LOL Here she is on Valentine's day with her gift.
(I know I posted these before, but they seem fitting for this thread)

ha ha! Actually though I mostly just looked at the thumbs, they didn't seem offensive in any way to me so it wouldn't have been upsetting to see my wife in the pics, nor am I upset that she wasn't honored there. No worries!

Next time what about taking pictures that show their faces?

Lot less weird than rear shots and a picture of something other than them standing with their backs turned to the camera might actually be interesting...

Agreed, one of the only shots that really displays an avid gamer's intense interest in a game is the one of Josie on Galaga, that one seems familiar to me, I think I stood that way for 20+ hours over the weekend, at least my stiff back tells me so, LOL!

Edit: The one of the person on Cosmo Gang is another one that fits the bill too.

Setting up each shot to get their face would not work because:

1) Most the time, they're playing the game and it would be an interruption. If not then you'd have to wait til they're done playing, do a stupid pitch each time to clarify the intention of the photo, then it would just look staged.

2) The time it took to snap a pic and move on made it quick and easy. Again, it was to capture women playing games. All specific areas in the photo however you look at it are just a bonus. There was one woman playing some shooting game that was f'n classic. My battery died or it would've made the album. Body language is one thing, room to actually take the shot is another.

3) I'm there to hang out and since I'm not a photographer by nature, I could care less about how the shot is composed. Still, getting some face shots might be interesting. The album is pure distraction and not meant to be professional.....given the $hitty nature of my camera and shots, you can see for yourself.

Avid, no excuses!

Avid- Enough excuses for not taking pics of our faces, my girlfriends and I took great pics of us playing games with our faces in the shots.

Thanks for turning a family friendly event into a creepy peep show. Do you also stalk little girls at your local arcade? Your photos diminished the whole gamer experience for us. We came to play, buy and enjoy games, not to be treated like objects and publicly demoralized. Are you guys gamers or perverts? Maybe you should have gone to a strip club and left the gaming to us.

WTF is that Lindsey?

It is funny as hell though!:D

Believe it or not I did a google image search for "oh snap" and it was on the first page. Apparently it's a photo booth (obvious vid conversion) but it looked like an "oh snap" arcade game to me.

Here's the original page it came from:

Oh snap indeed.

Hey everyone.... I guess my traditional album of women playing games is striking a critical note with some. I can't tell but this might have come from a female lurker (who will remain nameless).

I know that you can't please everyone. As I stated before, the reason I began snapping quick photos was to document women playing games in a male-dominated hobby. The album is not pose with them, not shoot to objectify them, et al. Some of you have expressed your disdain for the images after applying what you feel the album represents. I can't control how you choose to see it, the context you believe it to be, nor do I wish to get inside that brain of yours.

Still....after receiving some comments, it just blows me away that some people can be so narrow-minded. I embark on this tradition annualy because its something that most find enjoyable (insert your own reasons here). To label my photos only as ass fodder is unfortunate....and to that, may I greet you with my middle finger extended. I will continue to take photos each year as that's what I enjoy doing. If you have a problem with that, then ask me to remove the photo of you. In the future, I may or may not publish them. Regardless, I'd like to hear everyone's real thoughts on the concept of the Women of CAX concept.

For now...this is what I just received. Just sad.

"My girlfriends and I had a great time at Cax this year, we really felt like we could relax and have fun. Your photos have diminished the whole experience for us. We came to play games, not to be treated like objects and publicly humiliated. Cax should be a family friendly event, not a creepy peep show."
