Anyone familiar with Midway wolf unit board audio section repairs? Haven't seen too many of these with bad audio sections. CPU test indicates a bad U1. My first thought is to reflow U1, but if that fails, I'm curious where I should look next. Quick visual inspection doesn't indicate any possible causes. Already checked the coils for continuity and U57.

isn't there a socketed chip in that area, like a GAL? I think I had "bad U1" on a UMK3 manyyyyyyyyy years ago and swapping that chip fixed it. U1 is the actual ADSP-2105 right? the DSP won't run if that GAL chip is bad. I'm certain they're the same between all Wolf unit boards cause they all have the same DCS hardware.

also cap and white balance your monitor

The gal you're referring to is U57, which I already checked. Swapped a known good one and even changed the socket incase it was bad. No mas. As for the monitor, I don't know why that one screen looks like ass in the pic, it looks fine in person. Also, it has been capped, I'm on top of that kind of maintenence....also it's just my bench monitor so it's fine if it's not perfect.
