ok guys and gals this is my first game!! i got it and every thing came on but the game and the screen. found that there was caps blowen on the power supply card so i got a kit from bob and rebuilt it(90411 OEM PS PARTS REPAIR KIT)turned it on and it worked game one the screen every thing was on but there was lines on the screen wide 2 inch lines going up over and over i hit the joy stick on the left side and it went all dead every thing. i took the back of and it smelled very hot i do see a fuse blowen(125v) got looking around and a cap on the power supply card that i just replaced(2200 uf 50v the old one was 2000 uf 35vdc) was blowen right back out it was very hot to the touch and swelled up it burnt!! what is doing this? what needs changed to fix this? any one please HELP!!
 
no it was in right it was bad in the first place so there is a problem with what ever killed it the first time is still there but what could it be?
 
Once you rebuilt the power supply did you check it for proper voltages (both in and out of the power supply) before hooking it up to the game? Check the power connector on the pcb cage - anything burnt there or on the bottom board of the cage? Which voltage section of the power supply is blowing up? Check each board in the pcb cage and check where each one plugs in to make sure nothing is stuck down there.
