You are a VERY good man for reclaiming that Wizard of Wor! :beerchug:

Wizard of Wor is my #1 favorite game from "back in the day" and man is that a beautiful job you did there! Awesome!

Bravo! It's VERY cool that you restored it like that. Too many others would have multi-game'd the hell out of it. ;)

Did you replicate the paint splatter? And can you give some protips on painting this cab? (type sandpaper, type of primer, paint color codes).

you know I didnt replicate the splatter - that is the ONE thing I didnt do.
I have a few ideas of how I would do that if I did add splatter to a game - but have not actually tried them to tell you how well they worked.

My dad was a body shop manager for a major car dealership for 30+ years while I was growing up (now in insurance) so I learned everything from him...
Automotive paints and materials are by far the best to use.... primers and paint... however cost wise - they are unbelievably expensive. I had to improvise on this one... but I do know how to do top notch paint work thanks to my dad.

Another good person to ask about painting is Don1400 on here - he has done some incredible Pac Man and Ms Pac Man restorations and I have to say he has impressed me with his painting abilities for a radio guy...

Very nice job on the restoration!(loud applause) I am also a big fan of Wizard of Wor. I'm happy to see that you brought that classic back to life. Congrats!!

Wow, that looks terrific. Very nice job. I read somewhere that to replicate the splatter you can use a stiff bristle toothbrush, just lightly coat the tips of the bristles, then run your finger across them to "flick" the little drops of paint... Don't know if it works very well, but it sounds logical.

Thus far...in about an hour of searching online...the best I can come up with for the off-white color is "EUROPEAN WHITE"... no brand name... nothing.

>grump<

Nobody has sent you a paint code yet? It must be "Top Secret"....:D

Come on guys, help a brother out....

I still have mine as well... as a matter of fact, I am working on putting the original monitor back in sometime soon...
