Hi Everyone, Hopefully someone out there can help me figure out what is wrong with my Wizard of Wor. The game starts up, coins up and plays just fine, but the screen is scrambled to a point where I can't play the game. It looks like the background star field is fine, but the characters and dungeon walls are scrambled in a horizontal direction like the video isn't syncing. I have tried replacing every one of the boards and even the card rack with a spare set I have. It didn't fix the problem. Could the problem be the RGB/video interface board? I don't have a spare of this board. If this is the problem, where can I get a working one or get mine fixed? Thanks in advance for your assistance, --Rich

take a pic. Usually problem is bad ram on the ram cards. If not the the pattern board. If you can credit and get games sounds I would think the cpu and rom board are good (But rom board can also have problems).

From what I have observed with gorf(My WOW has been fine), the rgb board problems are more of dull or missing colors.

Did it ever work? Maybe your monitor sync is the problem.. What monitor is in there? K4600?

My GORF had weird screen display and a bad RAM board was the problem. Do you know the other boards are 'good'? :)

if it's not a monitor sync problem, check your -5 at the connector to the board cage. low -5 can cause video distortion on wizard of wor.

Thanks for the advice everyone. My favorite uber-Tech, Dangerwil, figured out the problem. It was in the monitor after all. DOOOOHHHHH. --Rich
