Wizard of Wor production numbers?

I don't think there are accurate numbers on early midway games. So its best guess. Considering how often the card cage failed, I would guess many were converted/crushed.

klov shows 106 WOW's 181 gorfs.

Klov shows 253 dig dugs , 173 millipede, 107 kangaroo

dig dug 10504 UR + 1219ct + 505cab so production was 12228

millipede 8690UR +1300CT so production was 9990

kangaroo production was 9803

so my guess would be 10,000-14,000 gorfs and 8,000-11,000 WOW's

Funny you should mention that. In the WoW cabaret I picked up last week the cage itself failed. Took me over an hour of swapping cards around my other WoW and Gorf to figure that one out.

Too early in the morning and I haven't had enough :coffee: yet so I'll assume all that math is good. ;)

I had never thought of the cage being a problem. Did you fix or replace? I'm now wondering if that's the problem I've been having with my gorf mini.

I wil say this....the card cage is one of the least fun systems to have to fix.

I just swapped in another cage I had laying around. The defective one already had it's power connections re-soldered since that's a know area of concern, but I found a few cold solder joints on the backplain itself. I didn't even try to fix it since the replacement one works fine.

It was a stinker to figure out since the problems were pretty consistent. Eventually I swapped a couple boards around in different slots on that cage and the trouble changed. It was one of those "light bulb" moments. :)

If the cpu board does not fail, then its bad ram on the ram cards or problems on the rom boards. Don't forget the linear power supply...
