WoW is one of my favorite games of all time. I played the shit out of it when I was a kid. The creepy voice and cheap horror-film type quality it has reminds me of the old movie theater I used to pay it at that was originally a vaudeville house, with very creepy, elaborate furnishings that looked like something right out of a Vincent Price haunted house. WoW was perfect for this setting.

Don't pay much for even a nice one, though. They seem to pop up a lot and at very reasonable prices.

I've owned 3 of these machines, bought it 4 times over the years!

I bought the first one in 1987 for $225.
Made $800 off of it in a plumbing office then sold it a year later.
Always missed it, so finally I found another in 1992 and kept it till 2002.
Bought it back from the guy, then resold it a year or so after that.
It was really a nice one, went to Columbus OH.

This was back when I only had a machine or 2 sitting in the corner of a room...
Another became available, non-working for $75.
Bought, fixed, and will not likely sell again.
It's in my top 3 games I would keep now that I have a dedicated gameroom.

This is an old-school classic, 2 player co-op is freaking awesome!!
Not very hard to work on with the cage, many boards interchange with Gorf and one other.

I need to get some new sideart and a CPO to make mine nice again.

Definitely recommend buying it... I wouldn't spend over $300 though.
(unless it was mint shape)

I like WOW alot. I drove 8 hours one way to get mine 8 years ago. I'm not sure if I'd still do that but you know how you are in the early part of this hobby.

Good looking machine, fun play, cool sounds. It was a machine I have fond memories of BITD.

Thanks for all of your replies. I'm going to pick it up this week, my son and are going to have a great time playing it together. I never played a Gyruss before and after reading the comments about it I picked one up and no regrets, it's awesome game.

post some pics once you get it. definitely a real fun game to play. i need to repurchase mine. wish i didn't sell it, but it got me a tron...

A cool strategy to use that he'll like is for the 2 of you to get in a short corridor, back to back, and fire as fast as you can. It doesn't always work when things get really fast but it's still good.

Definately a classic and I have many memories of playing it as a kid. I don't have a dedicated cabinet but I have a JAMMAtized boardset in my KI cabinet that gets plugged in every now and then. I still love the sound and flashing effects when you zap that bastard Wizard when he's teleporting all around firing non-stop.

I was never a fan of this game at all back in the golden age. I bet the last time I played it was around 1982 or 1983.

Gameplay just wasn't for me.

Picked up the game over the weekend. It's in great shape everything works great. The owner stated it was her grandfathers who was the original owner. After he passed away it was stored in the garage and played by the kids from time to time. I will post pics later tonight.

Finally got around to taking some pics. My son and I love this game, the two player battles are awesome. I'm glad we picked it up and at a great price too.
