Need a source for button leaf switches.

Always got these from Bob in quantity, but our stash has been exhausted.

Dont use these for a low voltage button switch. These are for a pinball high voltage eos and too much resistance for low voltage. It'll work at first and stop once it gets a tiny bit dirty.

I dunno about that, unless they've changed recently. The new set of them I have here measures 0.18ohm closed, the ones installed in my spaceduel fire buttons that have been on here for about 4 years ( and get a LOT of use ) are measuring 0.35ohm, they are showing signs of wear. I used some on a Williams cab and they're in about the same shape. For comparison the original leafs on my Gravitar are measuring about 1.9ohms.

They do have plated contacts which is pretty nice.

To be honest, The supply has dried up. I don't think anyone still has the leaf switch button holders. Someone please post a full link if I'm wrong. (I'd love to be wrong here. :)

I know of a guy in Utah who's made great plastic replacement parts just recently :)

Those holders would be an easy resin cast.

All five of the ones I installed on different games didn't work for very long with heavy use. They worked for about a few weeks and then failed. I cleaned the switch and it would work for a day or so and then would stop again.

I 3D printed some a couple years ago (I needed a few for different thickness CPs)... attached is a pic of one I didn't use. It came out pretty good (it's not visible anyway), and was a pretty quick print. I guess I never got around to posting the design to Thingiverse though (I'll do it next time I think about it).

Looks good.

Ive been baffled as to why leaf buttons and sticks aren't still produced (or reproduced). They're preferred over microswitches, yet they are in short supply?

usually its the amount you have to buy it huge and it would take two life times to sell them is why you don't see somethings being reproduced which equates to a very sizable investment.

So did anyone find a good non-tungsten replacement switch? As people have people have previously said, tungsten is not meant for low-voltage switches. I'm trying to replace some tungsten ones now.

I'd imagine pinball ones for low voltage would work, but I'm not sure if they come in the right size.
