I'm new to working on monitors, but I know my way around electronics. I picked up a Bally Sente cab not too long ago that I've finally gotten to working on. The previous owner tried to replace the monitor (March 02 manufacturing date), but didn't finish the job. I've now got completely different connectors between the PCB and monitor chassis. The new monitor has a basic wiring key, but i haven't done this before. I'd like someone to either decode the wiring key or help me identify the monitor so I can track down a manual and wire it up properly.

The tube is a Chunghwa EIA 577 but I'm not sure about the chassis. I've got the number WG 6054246 stamped on it several times as well as D020314-A and WGE 1972-HOTS49A stamped on flyback mount and 085X0449-002 printed on the board.

The video input pins are labeled

and Bally gives me Red, Green, Blue, White, Black, and Purple Yellow and Grey which are all strapped together. Can someone help me decode which line goes to where?

I've also got a switch labeled 15.7kHz and 17kHz. Anyone know which one I should use? Thanks.

That is a K7203. Use the 15kHz side of the switch.

The wiring to the monitor depends on the game you are connecting. Track down the game manual to determine the wire colors. Red, green, and blue are obviously RGB. The other colors can't be guaranteed as I've seen some where white was ground and black was sync, and others where black was ground and white was sync, or both were ground and others were sync...

I appreciate the quick response. I dug out an old sente manual and according to that, Gray should hit Horzontal Sync and White should hit Vertical Sync and the Yellow, Grey, Violet is Ground. What pins on the chassis correspond to H Sync and V Sync? All I've been able to come up with for the K7203 is a block diagram.

R-Red
GR-Green
B-Blue
G-Ground

makes sense, but since the Sente only presents + Vertical and + Horizontal, do i just leave the - terminals empty, or is this monitor no good for this board? Thanks.
