I'm about to start my Xenon playfield replacement. I have a CPR playfield, new plastics, new posts, but what I'm missing are the wire guides. I know one of the existing ones busted off, so I re-drilled the hole deeper on one end and leveled it. I'm planning to replace all of them, but I'm stumped finding a source for them.

Marco has a few wire bending jigs for sale - does anyone have experience with these, who can advise on which one works best?

There are all sorts of options if you just search for wire bending tools, but just get the piano wire assortment kit that includes the bender from Marco and start there. You need the wire assortments anyway, and the value of the bending jig itself is only like $5. You'll probably spend at least $30-40 for other bending tool options that you might not like, so start cheap. I'm personally fine with it.

I usually just use 2 needle nose pliers when bending wire for gates as the bending jig can be awkward to use and is useless for making several close right angles, but it will work much better for ball guides that just have 2 90° bends that aren't close to each other. It'll also give you a nicer inside corner 90° bend because of the diameter of the pin you're bending around.

It's cheap enough anyway. and they offer free shipping this weekend.

That's why I was thinking about this.

Xenon has 0.09" wires in 3 sizes. The ones that sit almost flush behind the flippers I think I can re-use if I can remove them.

There are two kits from Marco- the one with the red tool, and one that looks like a pegboard.

Which one did you get if you don't mind me asking?

I just use the pegboard one.

You'll be able to remove the old ones. They're just pressed in to begin with.

Thanks. I'll get an order in. The pegboard one comes with 2 x 1' pieces of 0.09" but I can buy 0.094" stock. Probably the same.
