Has anyone been to both the Winston-Salem and Kingsport AGS auctions in the past? I realize that you can't predict what will show up or how much things will go for, but from your past experiences has one been better than the other in terms of selection and price?

The question I have always wondered as well. There seems to be more post on Kingsport. Is one better to sell at or buy at. Tony

Whenever I've been to Winston Salem I've been unimpressed, and I'm always incredibly disappointed I DIDN'T go when I see the results of Kingsport...

Kingsport CAN be really good.. It takes FOREVER to get to the classics, and junk row is usually last.. Anything with ms pac or galaga on it some douchebag will bid you up past 250.

I went to the last Kingsport auction on 11/05. I sold my Wizard of Wor and a 1943. I bought a Rockin' rollin' bowling that didn't come on for $20 and a TimeKillers that worked for $20. If nothing else they made for great parts.

I got them for the monitors. They gave a way at least 4 games to any takers. Home buyers were scooping up 60 in 1's for $500-$1200 depending on the level of sophistication. Somebody brought in a bunch of brand new pacman style cabs with awesome side art and they sold for big $$.

My buddy bought a Beachhead 2003 ($625) and a Jurassic Park ($50) both were in good shape. We got them home and the monitors were messed up because our trailer blew a tire and really rattled them. We got them all working by the end of the day. Some of the wiring was shook loose.

I'm going again to the 1/05 auction.
