Winston-Salem auction - Who's going?

Prices were pretty reasonablefor the most part excluding some games here and there. Of course, you'll always have your typical idiot home buyers paying twice what they should and driving up prices on those games.

And you have people bidding on games that you can tell they haven't even looked at before the auctioneer got to it.

A few pics

My son and I went to the auction. We had been 2-3 years ago, and before that, had regularly gone 13-14 years ago.

I was hoping for a Gorf or Phoenix. Alternatively, I was looking for an inexpensive project or two.

Here are some of the machines on the "classic" row. There were some multicades and Ms Pacs near the head of the line.

The Zaxxon and Gyruss were non-working and I set my sights on them, but the bids went higher than I wanted for a project machine. I think the Gyruss went for $175.

The interior of the non-working DK3 was heavily rusted.

Then, the heartbreakers:

When I saw the Gorf cabinet, converted to a Double Dribble, and a badly beat up Phoenix, I nearly cried.

On the plus side, a big smile broke out when I recognized two of the auctioneers: Jason and Guerry from Auction Kings!

I picked up the Rally-X, Zaxxon. Oh and the Phoenix for $10.00

I bought 3 juke boxes - two standups and one countertop.

Picked up the Global VR Mad Dog - had my eye on one in particular as there were two there. Got it at the very end of the auction.

Got 2 complete seats, 2 toppers, and 3 front bezels for Need for Speed GT's for $10 total.
