I have access to a 1954 Williams woodrail machine. It is model #111, and the name is LULU. I do know that a game from this era may be hard to value, due to the age and style of it. Most dont want it due to boring gameplay compared to a newer one. Yet at same time you dont see many wooden railed ones around.

Most people want late 70`s and newer. But to a collector, or one who wants it for decorative, it could be valued at anything I suppose. It is vintage and would be great in a nostalgic store, den, display, collection, etc.

Could someone please give me their thoughts opinions on this machine? I have some pics, but dont know how to post them. It is in pretty good shape considering it being from `54. Backglass is good, little paint flake on corner, but very repairable if one wanted to. The outside of it has original paint and is nice. Have seen far worse. I does have hand or finger wear where the flipper buttons are. Which gives it character and soul I guess. The game was played in its day wherever it was. Also the play surface is pretty vivid as well. It may be able to be polished up even more, but I wouldnt attempt it till I knew proper way to do it, and test a spot.

Anyways, thank for opinions and help.

Mr Pinball Price Guide 2007 (I need to get a newer one) prices it at $600. There are no Ebay sales of this game on Bostonpinball to verify that price.

Could be worth more to the proper person.

Thanks for you input. I have done pretty extensive research, and havent came up with anything about this pin.

Nebula, I collect this era of Williams pins and might be interested in the Lulu. Do you have any pics of it? What part of the country are you located?

Here are a few pics.

The glass has not been cleaned, so the play surface looks like it has little Squiggly lines on it, but it is from the top of glass. This machine has never been cleaned that I know of. So a quick cleaning could do wonders to it.

I noticed that over at IPDB there are no pictures of this machine. It would be nice if you could send some pictures of this game into them.

Jumpin' Jacks does resemble it, but I like LULU better:)

I have called 3 different people and was offered 100, 300, and 325.

The first guy who said 100, was a joke. I could take the backglass box off and put a cord and new lights in it, and sell it for that much as a night light, gameroom light, or a bar light. And I could do the same for playfield box as well, put shorter legs on it and turn it into a coffee table. I did build custom furniture cabinets and laminate displays at one time. But since it is in good condition I would rather sell it to a collector, rather than dismantle it. That way it is atleast preserved for what it is. But it would make a cool coffee table though.

Where are you located?

I am in Ohio, USA.

I figured you were in Ohio since the operator's sticker on the apron shows an Akron address. I grew up in Massillon and still have family in the area.

I would say that the $300 and $325 offers you received are probably close to what the game is worth in today's market. The missing #1 insert on the playfield would be problematic to replace, as would removing the two red posts above the flippers that aren't supposed to be there. Their original positions were on the sides (between the H & O light inserts on the left and the L & D on the right), but someone moved them into the playfield to keep the ball from draining so fast. The holes can be filled, but they will be obvious. There's also a yellow post missing on the lower left playfield plastic. Still, though, the game is in overall good shape and should clean up nicely.

Good luck with your sale.

Well the pin is SOLD! I got $400 for it.

The guy has a small collection, and repairs them for a hobby. Id rather see someone fix her up, then have it collect dust. I am happy and he is happy, so all is good. Thanks for you input and replies. I will be anxious to see pics of it after he does his thing. Maybe he will keep it or maybe he will make a buck. I am just glad it will be playable and alive again...

Joshua a,
I do own that Jumpin Jacks machine. I am in the process of restoring it right now. Do you know anything about this machine. It seems hard to find any info or pricing.
