Has anyone ever actually seen the video tape associated with the video recap .pdf that is available around the web? I asked Bob Roberts and he had never run across one, so they might be rare (if available at all), and I've done some general searching of the internet. If someone has one that hasnt been digitized, I would gladly do it.

Thanks!

funny, i was actually reading that pdf lastnight as i am a williams noob. i was also curious about that when i read the video portion in the file.

This was my weekend project.

Didn't get as far as we wanted to (working with Saltbrez), but we had fun and got a few boards back to life.

Thread revival. Still looking.

I figured since Todd Rogers might be sorting thru old videotapes to find proof of TG high-scores, maybe he could find this tape too . . . . . . .

Gather round and join hands klovers and chant with me to bring back what was dead...

I figured 5 years was sufficient to not be "pestering" :)

Also, it just bothers me that 5 years has gone by and it only seems like months...where does the time go? :(

FWIW, I have absolutely no problem with people bumping old threads. Almost all of them are interesting.

Some forums are more pissy about necrobumping, but here, as long as it's not a FS thread with someone asking if the Popeye is still available, I have no problem with it.

I actually find them fascinating (not just for the topics, but the people too, as there are so many names I don't recognize), and it makes me wonder how much other really neat info is buried in the depths here. It makes me want to start a meta-necro thread, to see who can dig up the best stuff.

And no, I don't have the tape. (Back on topic, lol.) But that's a neat doc I wasn't aware of, thanks for bumping.

Forget Quantum, EDoT, Rock-a-fire Explosion or even having all 100% working games in my collection.....

This is now my "arcade grail" (and would take up much less space!)

:)

Rob, Have you checked in on the facebook Williams Defender Players Unite page? A bunch of old Williams folks are on there pretty regularly, Larry DeMar included.

Ha , ive still been looking as well. But not religiously. The guides themselves are quite good alone, but i always wanted to see some shitty vhs production that probably looks like the randy from vids....or sally struthers slinging tv/vcr repair.

I still think best bet may be to hit up some old distributors. Surprised they haven't been released.

I checked with them (E. Jarvis and YellowDog too) but no luck. They didn't know anything about it. Probably never saw it or had anything to do with it. Can imagine that something like that was put together by Williams engineers (or even subcontracted), and only ever distributed to companies like Betson or big op's that had their own service departments. It's possible that only a couple dozen were ever made.
