Williams United Seville Shuffle Alley malfunctions after move

Sorry if this is the wrong forum for shuffle alleys. Figured it was close enough to pinball since it is Williams.

A friend of a friend bought a Williams/United Seville shuffle alley and moved it into his pizza joint. It worked 100% before the move but now it never advances from the 1st frame and the game select button doesn't work (ie its stuck on "Regulation").

Since the game was working before the move, I doubt it could be a dirty switch or relay.

Opened up the backbox and saw four connectors below the chime box. The connector pins were covered with some light colored oxidation. I cleaned the pins with a dremel and a wire brush. Did the same to the other similar connectors but it didn't fix the problem. Note to self - bring a dust mask when cleaning with a dremel unless you like breathing some nasty dust.

Never worked on an EM machine before and I don't have schems. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Post would have been better suited for the EM section but was bouncing and will answer it here.

Make sure all "jones" connectors are affixed in their proper location.

Fuses make sure they are good and non-automotive.

Stepper units are they clean and they move freely this mean close to zero resistance. The arms and elbows at the pivot points are the gummed up with oil?

Disconnected wires from the selector switch (note this is tied directly to the game selector stepper unit)

Oil is the largest enemy of all EM games - the techs loved it and the only safe way to remove it is by carefully tearing down the stepper units and cleaning them with 91% alcohol.

Do not use ANY contact cleaner you can catch the game on fire!

PM me with any questions I'm willing to help...

I was going to use some Deoxit (non-flammable) on the connectors but I won't do that since any sort of residue appears to be a no-no.

Didn't try turning the stepper units as I was afraid doing so might get it out of sync with the other steppers. As long as that isn't an issue, I'll start with the stepper units in the bottom of the box. Kinda hard to watch the steppers when you're working the repair solo.

Not even a trace of oil on the steppers so that's not a problem.

While some of the steppers are labeled, I didn't see anything on the ones in the bottom of the cab. Guess I'll have to break out the long alligators to trace the game selector switch back to its stepper.

Is there a place on the web with downloadable schematics for EMs? If I need to pay for a hard copy, so be it.
