Im going to check out a Space Shuttle today.
Just wondering if these are nightmare machines or like all the rest.

I can fix anything on a SS Bally and Williams System 7.

Any words of wisdom to share????

Thanks!

These aren't difficult to work on and as reliable as Sys 11 IMO. I like Space Shuttle, it's one of my favorite games.

Burnt up GI connectors....that's what I got when I picked up my SS. Mine's been hacked back together, badly, but it works. Only really bad part is that someone soldered in a wire in place of a fuse, lol. I'm going to fix that one, then probably buy a drop-in replacement power board and sell the fixed one.

I bought it...bringing it home tomorrow.
Minimal wear but some playfield fade.
All ramps intact and the boards look like they never had an 'event'
MINT Backglass
Score at 5 bills.
I love pinball

Good deal. That's what I paid for mine and the PF on mine is TRASHED... look for my shuttle thread a few pages back and you'll see the comparison between the new repro playfield and the old one, lol. :)

Already read it lol.
I know this...im gonna play it at my new years party then take it all apart for a restore.
Although the playfield will be a little faded, all of the paint is still attached, despite cracking.
A little lipstick, mascara and some led's and it wont be noticeable. :D

LOL.

If you go LEDs for the GI, I'm highly recommending Cointaker's over Pinball life's. I like the price on PBL's, but they're just TOO directional to light up all the plastics and the playfield properly.

I'm starting to think that there just isn't a suitable LED for GI lighting, but I do have an idea that I'll probably send to cointaker.....see if they can use it and come up with something. :)

I used cointaker led's in my firepower and love them.

Yeah, I ordered a little sample set for my Pinbot to see what would work for me and whatnot....personally, I think the retros are just too dim, supers are just about right, maybe just a bit on the bright side. I can think of maybe one or two places I'd ever use the brightest one and they're both concealed completely from the naked eye, lol. :)

After getting the machine home, it wouldnt play.
After a minute of diagnosis, I realized there was one pinball missing. I searched the cabinet and playfield but it vanished into thin air....lol this is the 2nd game that this has happened to me now.
Threw a ball in and played it til my new years party ended at 3am.
WHAT A FUN PIN.

Gonna take it all apart now and refurbish it.

I think I'm gonna see if I can't have a Decomissioning Party or something for mine before I take the playfield out to do the swap. :) Haven't been giving it much attention lately...got sucked into Skyrim. :|
