Williams newbie here, bringing an Alien poker back from the dead. I rebuilt the -100/+100 section of the power supply board with the recommended kit from Ed @ GPE (great service, BTW). Installed the board in the game & then proceeded to test my work as per Clay's guide - just leads J1 & J2 plugged in.
Ground lead of tester on J5, pin 1. Checked J5, pin 3 & it shows -118v -- checked J5 pin 4 & it shows +120v
These should be + & - 90 to 105v DC, correct? I looked over my work & I see nothing obviously wrong. What could be the problem?

Did you also use the HV regulator transistors that were included in the kit? If so, did you properly cross the legs on them? The original transistors are long time NLA, the ones included in the HV rebuild kit have a different order to the legs, and need to have the legs crossed.

No, the legs are properly crossed & I put heat shrink tubing over the crossover leg to be sure there was no problems on parts touching.

yep, as high of a resolution as you can, only need the HV section of course.

Daughter broke camera, dammit. That's #3
I ordered another kit from Ed, plan on replacing the transistors & diodes as those seem to be the likely culprits. We will see....
