I've made a list at Mouser for most of the parts for the power supply on a Williams System 11a. There are a few I can't find. Where can I get these?

18,000 mfd 20V axial electrolytic cap
sds201 NPN transistor
SDS20s PNP transistor
MPSD52 PNP transistor
2n6057 NPN transistor

Here's the mouser link

Great Plains Electronics (GPE) is a good place to get parts or kits for power supply boards.

Also a good place for advice on upgrades or replacing obsolete parts.

Oh, and Ed's a good guy and shipping costs are very reasonable.

Here's an option for the big capacitor:

Mouser should sell equivalent parts for the transistors. You'll just have to do some google searching and maybe look at some data sheets to figure those out.

I'll second recommending Great Plains if he has what you're looking for.

For SDS201 -- you will need to use cross-legged MJE15030's.
For SDS202 -- use cross legged MJE15031's

For MPSD52 -- use 2N5401
For MPSD02 -- use 2N5551

For 2N6057, use 2N6059. Only one manufacturer of these remains -- Central Semiconductor and they aren't cheap. May be able to find NTE equivalents (NTE is a packager ... not a manufacturer). The NTE's would probably cost more than Central Semi parts.

You can find these parts including axial 18000uF caps at www.GreatPlainsElectronics.com

Suggestion on your mouser list - ditch the Xicon and Lelon electrolytic capacitors and replace with a Nichicon. Xicon is probably ok but the Lelon's are notorious for bad quality.

Added the transistors to mouser and changed the lelon and xicon electrolytics to nichicon. Couldn't get the 2n6059 at mouser. I'll order those from great plains.

The cap you listed is the right rating, but it is a snap in with short legs and I need an axial. Am I reading that wrong?

You're totally correct. Almost nobody carries the Axials anymore, GPE special orders them and they are all new stock not old leftover stuff.

Seriously, GPE just kicks ass for this stuff.

I just chose the cheapest one that will work from mouser. Snap-ins are usually the cheapest and I just solder wires to the legs.

Lindsey,

I see. Makes sense. Looking at several other posts you've made, it looks like you are very familiar with the System 11 boards. My problem on this particular one is that the Display was flashing and it said awaiting ball when I would start a game. It would also "hunt" for the ball by popping all the ball launchers. I disconnected 3j5 to test voltage. I showed no volts on any pin to ground. However, while testing voltage for the 3rd or 4th time I shorted two pins together while looking at the dmm. There must have been something there. I was testing on DC with a Fluke 179. Now I have no display. I know I fried something on the power supply board, because it now blows the 1/4 amp fuse when I power it on. Any ideas what else it could be?
